UPDATE: Due to extensive feedback in this thread, we have changed the implementation so that effects can be reclaimed at no cost. Microtransaction effects can be freely moved between items. This will affect their initial pricing somewhat, but we'll investigate adding cheaper one-use "demo" versions of them in the near future.

another concern here: while applied to a character/item, will the effects be really bound to this character/item or still be usable account- and charater-wide? like, when i die in HC and go to default, will the effect travel with me? and, since i tend to delete my dead HC-chars and start them anew, when i forget to reclaim an effect, will it be lost when i delete the char with its items?

from the info we have it would appear these can be used in any league. So I would imagine an effect on a HC character that dies (queue violin) would automagically be removed and reappear in your microtransaction $tash.

hopefully the same auto system is in play for deleted characters holding items with effects on them.

no need to be concerned, all will be clear in time.
Going through the patch notes I noticed that you almost didn't change melee skills. Like Cleave, Heavy Strike, Dual Strike, etc. Kripparian states that overall monsters have more life and do more damage. In closed beta ranged characters seemed already way stronger than melee ones. Where you satisfied with build variety, effectiveness regarding melee in alpha? I am talking about hardcore only.

I am planing to do a concentrated effect/cleave sword and board templar build because I don't want to go all mainstream and copy effective characters seen on streams. I am curious how this will work out.

well, thanks for your kind reply, but no need to soothe me :)

i also think (or hope?) it is like you stated, just asking to make sure it will be clarified.

I like almost all the microstuff.
BUT i already have 10 stash tabs but i cant change the 6 i bought, i need to spend even MORE points on that?
Do i understand this correctly?

Because if i do i regret that i have already bought stash tabs...

If I read Chris correctly, then for a limited time after open beta release, you will only have to pay the difference between a standard and premium tab to upgrade any tabs you have already bought to premium versions. You won't need to pay any more than someone who buys a brand new premium tab.

Sorry in advance if that isn't correct.

hmm..maybe make something like first Open Beta launch day event? like example discount for points purchases or one free item from new microtransactions shop through the day?
In the end you're the best!
