[0.11.0] Eldritch Battery/Armour Crit Dagger Shadow (Based off the CI Crit Dagger Shadow concept)

I just wanted to come by and say how amazing and fun this build is once it comes together.

The early levels are okay, the mid levels are boring, the later levels are terrible, but once the gear comes together (for me it was at lvl 71) the shadow just turns a corner and becomes very powerful.

For anyone who is struggling with this build, persevere, follow Invalesco's advice, and it will work out. Blood Rage is where it is at :)

My passive tree is just what is recommended.

Thanks again for an amazing build!
So, in your opinion, which is the best : this one or CI/GR version ?

I really like the synergy between CI and GR so I would naturally tend to use these passives. But for the persons that played both styles : what do you think ?
I've watched the gameplay of this build on youtube by Invalesco, and got me wondering how can he teleport so fast from mob to mob, doesn't flicker strike have like 2 sec cooldown?

if you read the description on flicker strike, it allows you to spend a fury charge to cast the spell again without cd

here's my question, is linking chain with lightning strike a good idea?

thanks people

Personally I don't think so, because:

1. Mana cost increment is too great
2. Damage penalty is quite hefty
3. Pierce + LMP gets the job done quickly enough imo

BUT it's just my personal preference. Just because I said it doesn't mean it's right. You should probably try it for yourself and then decide after.

P.S. Thanks naga for looking after the thread!

yeah thanks, i've tried it acutally, but due to the lack of links on my armour(as well as a low level chain), i couldnt experience the full potential of the combo, however i've noticed that it seems to work better with a lightning strike gem that doesnt have quality, as it eliminates the chance of the bolts piercing through a group without chaining.

Got a small question: Why do we not link chain and fork with lightning strike? i mean ok, together they might not work as well, but if you just link chain on lightning strike by itself (might even be better on the ones without quality). Will that not do more damage? Please correct me if i am wrong, this is screwing with my head T.T thank you

I fear the mana cost might be getting too high to sustain easily on a 5L or 6L Lightning Strike.

Hallo i've read now the grow of all pages but i really have still 1 question

why do u stick in armour as main dev atribut and not on AR/evasion or evasion items? can u tell me a reason?

Because this build needs armor to reduce the pain from physical damage. It doesn't go for iron reflexes so any evasion you'd get wouldn't help you from the very high physical damage mobs can have at the end of the game. Having some ev/armor gear would make your evasion rating so low, it won't save you from much of anything and such a low armor rating that when you get hit, you're pretty much taking the full hit. You also want to try have one or two es/hybrid es pieces so you can get more mana through eldritch battery(part of the build:turns energy shield you have into mana).

So basically you stack armor with a little es somewhere and become tanky through high armor and the use of granite flasks.

I hope I put that in a way you can easily understand it. :)

yes u did thank you :)

its because the leather stuff has so much more style xD

but basically evasion is not worse than armor? (not on this build, in general)
