Presumably because the author runs in a party with auras. Solo, maybe you want to run something else. Although even solo you could be running multiple elemental boosts on supports, the passive tree, and an aura.
hey, im currently level 64 with that spec and i skilled almost all the ES nodes
i want for my build.
now i wanna start to get some damage nodes.

here my question:
shall i start to get crit and crit multiplier nodes first or is it better to go with
+% phys dmg with wands?
(fyi: i got a 200 dps wand with 9.8% crit)

I'd like this answered too. I have a 188 dps wand with 10.57% crit.

I'm lvl 70

I have mana problems, which can be mitigated by running one aura and partying at this point.

But the damage is a f***ing joke. I have like no dmg, and a lot of my gear (rings/amy/etc) have crit chance/multi, and +phys dmg, and Maligaro's.

In town, my power siphon with the recommended supports has 500 dps. It IS awful.
edit: out of town with Hatred, my PS tooltip DPS is 827 and recommended Frenzy with power charge on crit is 1564

I have a scion wander in dom. I'd strongly recommend you pick up the damage nodes before crit. Wand base damage when run through the LMP/chain filter is awful, you need the nodes to boost it.

With the above tree, a fairly generic ~190 DPS wand, and a couple of phys damage rings

(I'd yolo this if I had the currency)

I have 2235 siphon DPS with hatred up, 6 power, and 3 frenzy charges. I have about 950 mana and can only have 1 aura running and still run into mana issues once in a while (and that is with 7% mana leech). And with hatred running and no discipline I'm only at 3050 ES and super fragile (running a carnage heart for extra leech + dex, but this hurts ES).

The wander is run in a group with a couple of friends which masks some of the deficiencies, but from what I've seen wanders are a build for someone with a lot of currency to burn, you need top end gear to make it work (and some of that gear like a wand isn't available in a 4 mo league).

It did start to work OK around level 72 or 73, at that point she had enough DPS + crit (keep in mind my wand is 8% base crit) where she started one shotting some whites even in the 3 group party and the mana issues finally started to die down. Damage is a bit uneven with a 43% crit chance but if I string a few crits in a row mobs just evaporate. I'm still hesitant to solo with her, she's just not durable enough yet, and never will be as the league will end before she gets there. But when she works she's an absolute blast to play (wanding has been my favorite build by far).

The top of the tree really needs some work to make wanders more viable for those of us without vast quantities of wealth, and wanders could really use a Mightflay type unique so you could actually level as a wander. IMO they should also split wands and have some only roll spell affixes, some only roll attack affixes, and a few roll both (for cast on crit or other exotic builds). I did actually level this toon using power siphon, and it was a painful experience (my mates basically carried me).

Hey Yoshi. So I've reached level 85 and i'm loving this build but I have a huge problem with devourers! Heres my stats/gear/build.

5.5k ES with hatred/wrath
6k power siphon DPS, 87% chance to hit. I think its 56-59% crit chance.

I have tried doing maps like dark forest with life leech and disc instead of hatred and devourers are still a issue. I can do most maps upto lvl 75 with ease but if devourers show up its a huge risk to stay in the map.

WED outscales added fire with 2 or more auras.

Even with 1 it was on par with added fire + hatred. This is due to WED scaling with all elemental damage converted by the wand phys % to elemental nodes.

I ran wrath +discpline in parties ( most people run grace and hatred)
Solo wrath + hatred (everything is one shot even rares)
Solo with tough map mods or reflect, grace + hatred (damage mitigation for reflect)
Solo rip map mods, grace + discpline (why did i roll this map lol)

I thought about trying your HC Built in Nemesis (im Nemesis only player) next. I like the fact that PS-Witch is super useful in groups with conduit. A little later i had a conversation with a friend (that favours other builds) about your HC-build and he meant this is much more a supporter build then actual DPS.
Do you still have your DPS in mind back then when you were playing some hardcore?
I would appreciate to get some feedback.

Thank you very much for your great guide and for sharing all your secrets with us :)

A decent solution to devours/evangalists is running a 3L enduring cry-immortal call-Cast on damage taken. It does sometime desync and procs IC first, but then you still get 4endurance charges and it will 100% Call on second damage proc. I found this to be really nice against clusters of mobs that physical damage stack you. Besides RIP bosses this is the devours is the only ones I have found dangerous.
