PvP Progress Update

Make a new area where people can duel theirselves. eg. a WP in Act 1 or 3 or even a own "act" tab where people can WP and be in a city, dueling eachother and chatting. Maybe some vendors even and such.

No worries Chris. I'm sure you will deliver PvP faster and more robustly than the company I won't mention at this time.

I hope Open PvP is planned at some point. Custom PvP lobbies and PvP modulators are the best way to foster a robust PvP community.

did arena like one time. was super boring. pls dont put too much effort in pvp. the pve section is much more impornt and still needs tons of fixes like trasding, desyncm mf and stuff

you and others like you are missing the point. If you want perfectly balanced PvP thats all skill go play counterstrike. Here we want to build our own characters our own way and test them against others who do the same. [...]


If you want to have PvP decoupled from PvE, but still maintain all aspects of a grinding-gear-game ... there you go:

- all PvP characters start at level 1
- the chars only have access to the stash, vendors and the arena (consider them captives ;) )
- PvPers cue up against players having the same level
- on kill, a char gets XP
- on win, a char gets XP and currency/gem rewards
- vendors sell only white items, but all of them level appropriate and all bases
- player trading is disabled

This system would make sure you carve your char out of nothing based on the rewards that you got by winning against other players. In the end you'd have high level PvP chars that never fought a monster but still went through the whole leveling thing.

Meta game would also be interesting. If you know there's this cool base item 5 levels ahead but your current weapon sucks ... buy new or save currency?

Tricky thing would be to balance off the currency and gem awards to facilitate build diversity. If e.g. someone comes up with a cool idea where he needs a certain gem twice but it is only offered once there would be a problem. Also we all know how much currency gets burned while crafting...

yea, for someones like me pvp can be the best endgame. Just make a lader, leagues etc, like starcraft, and there u have the best game of the year

Where da Heck did all these Kids came from? I can remember a Time in Online Gaming, where we played PvP Games just for the fun, there were no Balance or Item Issues...

In these Times we had no Rewards, no Progress, no "Endgame" we could not even unlock a Weapon or somewhat, we played just for the "FUN"!


Why do i smell these E-Fame Kids, trying to waste just another Game with their pathetic Minds...


Kids, RL-PVP provides Rewards only in the rarest of all cases and will NEVER be balanced, so can you tell me why some ppl doing it?
