Oro's Righteous Fire Marauder [1.2.0]

Updated the build for 1.1!
This patch made running RF for new players much easier with the max resist on the passive tree. It hurt the build a bit in life % but it's still insane. Enjoy!

Great work, Oro!

I run a modified version of your build (or did last patch) and really like it.

One question to the math wizards out there... what is the TRUE, no BS, by the numbers effect of taking holy strength and inner force? is it more dmg but less life regen essentially?

I know one thing... I'm gonna try ditching RotF and use Saffel's instead and see how that plays out lol. Can't believe it got nerfed on a side note. Of all the uniques...

Thanks for the quick update!

Only now we have 0 MF?
Oroboro - I have a one request.

Yesterday I got 65 level. Could you help me and show passive tree for 65 level?
What to choose first, and what to leave for later?

dunno wutcha mean there...I have the same MF as I did before

here's my new build at lvl84:

Spoiler

more hp/armor based

CwDT + Ice Nova and EE node = lotta dead things (insta-poof...unless a unique or rare mob :D)...and Immortal Call + Enduring Cry

I run Determination + PoF + Vit (though don't need Vit anymore...but more regen = why not)

for a fast hp regen after a snapshot swap, after re-entering an area from unloading in town, Devouring Totem is AWESOME! Also handy in tough areas...pop a totem and let em hit ya for Nova-poof

for totem killing I use Flameblast + Chance to Ignite + Iron Will

Here's what I'm thinking for lvl100...some daaay:

Spoiler

I play on standard now...so I will hit 100 within 5 years lol...

It wont do anything to RF. Sovereignty only affects to auras, and RF is counted as "buff" rather than "aura". So only your auras will be buffed from sovereignty cluster.
ah, I was probably thinking of the patch where they referred to the aura portion of it (or just that when I grabbed it, it allowed me to run a 3rd aura, which made it important at the time). Next question after looking at the above build, while I know it's affected by +fire damage, I've never seen anyone add +elemental damage but I'd assume they work exactly the same? Also, would Elemental Domination work (+20% elemental damage with spells)? The path to that (assuming you grab Immolation) is 39% fire damage for 5 points, which with so many 6% life nodes might be worth it?

Elemental Domination wont work since RF is not 'spell'. Or atleast i think so. Only +fire dmg, +ele dmg and + burning dmg all affect to RF.
hi Oroboro,
Nice to see that you updated your build for 1.10. I started levelling a marauder for rf in the new league, but my planned skill graph differs at a few points from yours. Since you have clearly more experience with righteous fire builds, I would like to hear your opinion on a few changes.

First of all, how much %hp regeneration do you aim for? I see that you even took a +1 frenzy charge node, just to get more regeneration from your boots. I figured with the changes to the marauder area it should be possible to get enough regeneration, even without frenzy charges.

Next I see that you took the sovereignty cluster for it's increased aura effect. I assume that is for purity of fire? What are the break points to get additional +max resist from it?

My plan was to stop going up at the templar's hp nodes and the going up from scion through shaper up to purity of flesh and taking the immolation nodes and the blast radius from the witch area.
How does it matter whether it is increased burning damage or increased fire damage for rf?

Also I see that you took some extra nodes, how much int do you need for this build? With my plan I will be at 144 base int.

In the end, any reason you are not taking elemental equilibrium? I always thought the interaction between ee and rf was rather neat.

My plan:

I unfortunately do not know much English and poorly understood your remark about the fact that you have the same MF as before. Earlier in the build was laid more than 300 IIR (2 rings andvarius accurately used). Now build, there are no IIR - so I conclude that it does not provide build IIR. Therefore asked Oro.
In addition to its tree - lay out here and your gear. It will look more convincing.
Can you list what nodes are important first like 20 nodes, then 40 nodes, etc?

With all the new changes, am I correct in seeing that (assuming 1.5% from vitality and level 17 PoF) we only need 7.5% (plus whatever to cover ES) regen from passives? I'm seeing a lot of builds with just a ton of regen, which while good for survival, sacrifices quite a bit of damage. If you were contemplating running Saffell's Frame, I'd see the need (12% total needed) but I'm sorta wondering why there's so much regen stacking? I'm hesitant to pull the trigger on nixing many of the .4% nodes for elemental and life nodes now.

My current rough draft which I'm still sure has optimizations to improve dps yet:
