I've found this to be an interesting build and I liked the idea from start.
However maybe I've done a mistake, this is my first char and the freeze pulse gem I have does not have any quality, meaning like you wrote I've to be in close range. Now being lvl 45, I expected like a newbie this problem would have been solved one way or the other, increased quality upgrades or something but I've been unable to solve this part. Any advice on the matter? Should I do this http://www.theitcommunity.com/wiki/Get_a_20_percentage_quality_gem_in_Path_of_Exile and re-roll? |

leveling a gem to level 20 is a grind of hell, you will not be under about level 90 when they hit level 20

" Ok so that's not an option, I'd have to lvl the character two times... Where and when does start to drop? Reading about it seems like they are extremely rare and thus this build is no go for a first timer really. What a waste of time. |

you can just use a faster projectiles gem instead of cold penetration for the moment, and use projectile speed on your wand.
and simply invest some currency which you should have by now (if not, collect all the small blue items, identify them and get a few stacks of alterations, then trade them for chaos) and buy this: http://poe.xyz.is/search/eiunasanitireg plenty of quality FP gems in the forums, just tell them you WTB (want to buy) for a few chaos. then level the quality FP gem in your off-hand until the 2 FP gems are about even, then <ou might consider dropping the faster projectiles gem. Alternatively, just buy a levelled one for a little more and you're ready to go. |

" Thanks for the info, much appreciated. I guess I have to learn the currency system, have been simply focusing on game mechanics and playing. I also find the in game "chat trading system" somewhat annoying so I've not been that interested to dive in there. Edit: Btw no I've not purchased anything from ggg. However, if they fix the trading system then I'd not mind investing but before then no. I find it uncivilized to spam in game and to make sure your thread in a forum somewhere with wares is updated. i used karui ward until i had a 20% FP, now i am playing maps witch my 75 witch and consider it to be mandatory for this build to be viable in early end and obv late end game

" you dont need a quality gem right away if you dont feel like it but its still recommended but because of it doesnt mean you have to reroll you can always level in another slot untill it gets high enough level. a 10% cost about 3-5c depending on who you are buying it from signature?

Have you considered getting that one extra frenzy charge?

im 78 now and bought a really nice chest for the moment
with the life leech and ~7k ES i feel really safe in maps, just running into rooms and freeze it all :D and i still need to spec into 2 ES nodes, they will push my ES by 300+ i think. this build is so amazing :D |
