Jan 14: One-week HC Race

This was a LONG race but none the less it was an EXTREMELY fun race and i hope to see alot more come OB!

Dominion here, this was my setup at the end of the race (10k ES without shield)

Amazing race, Met and grouped with so many cool people. Was solo until 60 when i started doing maps around day 4 then played with 4 or 5 different groups. Got HORRIBLE luck in last 24 hrs, me and group did 63's and even went down to 62's for 16 hrs so i just went to sleep after comp froze. Didnt lose any sleep really and didnt play for 2 days due to schoolwork, so i knew i wasent getting top 20, but im happy with #46.


Shout out to BLEARGHSpresence and the rest of his group, shout out to Thiswillgowrong, noxxan, gabrellethebard, zertan, And others, sorry if i forgot your names.

IMO this race was the perfect way to end the closed beta of POE, Probably the most fun ive had in a game for a while.


Me and thiswillgowrong got the legendary map drop in a 62 map, ran it, didnt get shit lol.

SO did a single melee build got a demigod? Just curious? I don't think so, right? Sad... sad...

Aimed at never dying, and if possible get in top 50. Job done ! Awesome race, very tiring, very fun. Met a bunch of nice people along the road too (partying rocks hard !).

Special shout out to ThisWILLgowrong, SwagswaglikeCailou and Zertan_SPORK for fun (if unlucky) map grind during last couple of days ! You guys rock hard :)

Also, shout out to Backbeard for making me realise (during previous week race) that my all-time favourite build in ARPGs was indeed (and contrary to my first impressions) STRONK. Summoner FTW !

And last, but most important : big up to my three pals XenaTheWarriorPrincess (Jadrew), JoxerTheMagnificent (Softy) and MorpheusTheGodOfSleep (Noxxan). I started out with them, and all went well until a flicker-full reef map where Xena got jumped by a bunch of the f*ckers. From there on, it went downhill. We lost Joxer the day after, and Morpheus was put to sleep too, as was Xena's reincarnation (who had made it back to level 50ish). Morpheus made it back to top 50, though, as LastTryForDemigod, and that's an achievement in less than 4 days ! Grats, my friends ! Better luck next time for our party, no doubt ;)

A lot of the people who could have gotten a demigod with a melee build are either waiting for OB or playing alpha.

Melee is definitely weaker then ranged (when is it not in general), but dont put much stock in a race that ends 48 hours before open beta.
