Jan 14: One-week HC Race

No one can go 136 of the last 144 hours. NO ONE.


However, I think it should be ok for people to share for these races and be man enough to admit they do it. Is super team organization if you can get 8-12 people to run in shifts and be good enough to do it.

Played solo (level 72) trying out an interesting build. Wish I found more than level 8 uniques!

Good race all was my first one where I gave it my all and it payed off!!! I will practice short races and see if I can compete in those too but im sure I won't place well until I get a lot of practice. The fatigue level of playing for a week is amazingly long with only 24 hours of sleep for the week. Only word of advice find a good group plan your play times together and eat/drink well, I love this community and I hope to be a part of it for a long time. Grats all!

The fact that you managed to play for as long as you did, with as little sleep as you had, is absolutely amazing. An incredible human accomplishment.

I admit, at first I thought the race was being over hyped by a lot of people, but in the end, people did better then ever, and more importantly the whole top 50 was pretty competitive, and it looks like it will only get harder.

Last week race was absolutely retarded with the account sharing accusations because there were clear spaces where Dominion was logged off and not gaining xp. This week there is actual evidence because of the 104 hours with 0 breaks - and even during the points where he wasn't gaining xp, he was in the trade/global.

Yea... except for the part where he partied with us. He was talkative then halfway through the night goes to text only. He did not sound at all like somebody who had been up for 90- hours. At this point I was STILL willing to give him the benefit of a doubt and talk to him, but he would not answer any of our questions or even so much as deny that he was account sharing. The truly sad thing is that this kind of thing is really tough to enforce and giving him prizes will set a bad precedent, so either way GGG is in a bad spot. The real victims are the #11 and #21 spots for they were robbed of all their hard work.


To everybody else: great race, I never thought I would make top 20 let alone top 10. I got home super late on Sunday night and died at lvl 13. I almost went to bed on the spot and said fuck it to the whole thing. But I said what the heck and re rolled and thought I would have fun with it. I got to level 18 in normal before I went to bed that night. The people I've met, the ups and downs of the race, was a really unique and fun experience.

To all those out there who feel like they never had a chance: you can do it. It's all about commitment and attitude. I had no high level experience before this race and very limited map experience. All my gear was self found. I had no party when I started and just found one randomly on the forums. The 2 guys I ended up playing with there were awesome (MiddleStudent and JesusPlayedHC) and later to Kludd and Takashix when we joined them.

Jesus' suicide was a huge blow to our morale, and picking ourselves back up after was probably the hardest part of the race. He is an awesome guy, but his head was not in the right place at the time and I can't really blame somebody for not wanting to play something he wasn't enjoying. Shout outs to all who helped along the way, and SPECIAL shout-out to NEEDFAWKINGCHAIN for the help at the end when nobody else would. Then all of a sudden people begging to join us but we stuck with him. :P

I focused on survivability from the passive tree while grabbing the easily accessible damage nodes in the form of weapon elemental damage, using my gear to scale up my damage. I used Resolute Technique in order to prevent one shotting myself on elemental reflect.

Guys, Frankyy didn't get 2 demigods, he only got one, the other guy got the 2nd. LOL.
