"Yep. It would be cool if they extended the number of people getting demis. The top 40 or so is pretty much all people on 12-14 hours per day. Last edited by Watlok#2219 on Jan 17, 2013, 2:44:46 PM

" Yup. Also remember this is a beta, bugs will happen. People should know this fact while playing, even if they die because of that. Nobody had a gun near his head forcing him to play hours and hours without sleep, btw. Don't take me wrong, you're right, and we all hope the game will improve; but you know what I mean. I think there's an issue with summons having aura effects and standing on burning ground or something weird. Who knows.

" Groups are using walls of totems to protect themselves from the mobs, and that would be exactly the same in turbo. Builds might be more tankier, but it'll still be a dual spork fest. You're starting to come across like a politician with your pro-turbo mentality, plugging it at every possible opportunity, even when it makes zero sense. Only 3 spork builds made it to maps, while there were far more Sporkbuilds.
Spork is far less powerful in Turbo because mobs are far more aggressive and keep moving really fast. 1 animation contains many hits, so ranged mobs are at advantage. A Rhoa can easily one shot a Totem in Turbo while in normal the sparks kill it before hit. Just compare the Riplist of the Turboleague with the last 2 races. You will see Top50 names not making it into merciless. If it were that easy to create walls of totems then you would have seen far more players entering merciless/maps. |

This race has far, far more competition than any previous one-weeker. What happened in the past can only be used very lightly for comparative purposes as the game has received a lot more exposure and an influx in players in the recent weeks. Much the same as spork, it's a lot more widely known now.
I'm not trying to argue that turbo wouldn't make spork more difficult. Of course it would, but every build would be more difficult. The top teams running six person parties stay back behind their wall of totems and those that aren't casting them barely even have to participate, maybe firing the odd volley of arrows just for the lolz! They aren't only offensive, they're as much a safety measure. This wouldn't change, except maybe the non-sporkers might have to do a little more! :) Spork is being nerfed anyway so it's a bit of a non-issue, but I can't see turbo doing anything specifically to spork that it wouldn't to everything else. |
|
Sporks being nerfed + mobs that are way more dangerous than current mobs even in turbo will deal with a lot of this stuff in OB anyway.
I expect plenty more deaths in future races and less facerolling at endgame (not to say in the path to there). |

thank god they're nerfing spork it trivializes a lot of game content and is completely boring to play and/or watch.

Fun last race but out of luck with maps and can't keep up with my schedule. Best of luck to the rest of those playing for top twenty!
