So, I've reached level 60 and I'm pretty much stuck in A2 Merciless at the moment, after barely scraping through Mervil and needing a group to down her. Here's my god-awful gear:
My dps is about 1800 on EK and 7800 on Bear Trap, I kill shit really fucking fast, but I can also die in 5-7 hits. Here are my defensive stats: 1075 armor(18%reduct) 1475 HP 138 ES 31fire/49cold/66lightning/-44 chaos 8.7 mana regen 498 mana the only reason I can actually cast is because of the reduced mana/mana leech) I'm aware I definitely need new gear, but the problem is that I'm not really sure what I should be looking for at this point. Anything comparable to some of the gear listed in the build is insanely rare and expensive. Secondly, I'm not really sure what I should be paying for gear since I haven't really needed to pay all that much to get by up until merciless. Seems like any 5L pure armor piece over 700 armor sells for 2-3 exalts at the bare minimum. I feel really fucking trapped and I'm not about to go spending 5 exalts just to get to Act 3. I'm still pretty new to this game, so any advice on gearing or speccing is well appreciated. IGN Generic_Player

I am a new player and this is my first character. However, I would like to ask why you give the advice that Curse Gems never should be leveled? I don't see the point in that. Besides it's quite annoying to have 3 leveled up gems showing up at the right side of the screen. |

" If you can farm the docks well and safely - try throwing on some Item rarity support gems and just farm farm farm farm. EVENTUALLY you will find something you can either A) use for an upgrade B) sell for a shitton and buy an upgrade. Basically just keep farming - Act 3 isnt going to improve much compared to how much harder it will be I think. |

So I farmed Cruel Docks and found it vastly inferior to Merciless Ledge imo. What you think

" Oh sorry - I misunderstood, at work and not thinking clearly. DO NOT farm cruel lol - waste of time. I meant farm act 2 ledge in merciless (since you cant get to act 3 yet). Another option is to group and blitz through act 2 - then get a group TP up at the docks in act 3. Evetything here is easily kitable thats why it serves as excellent for farming. Then just farm solo once you have the waypoint. Sorry for confusion. |

is anyone lese finding it very very difficult to get the socket colours he has on his gear..
my kris will never go G-G-R lol,and so hard to get chest piece with armour rating to G-G-G-R-R |

I'm level 58 right now, and chain seems to be the worst compared to fork and faster projectiles. Does it get better late game?

got this on me right now, lvl 60, well, chain is a lot safer that's for sure. I swap out quantity for added fire dmg if i'm not farming ledge. Still, at around 2,2k hp and 1k mp and absolutely no armor and ~60% res (when needed, I just swap acc) I'm stuck at 2nd act. I am considering going for some time with life leech, it should help. |
