Do you not use clarity with this build? Seeing as how you use EB and have Inner Force I don't see why you wouldn't be using Clarity.

You can actually! I just didn't have enough decent +mana or ES gear at the time of making this character such that I couldn't afford to run clarity. I built this character within a week and a half so he has much to be optimized still

Hey, I was wondering what effects improve Bear Trap Damage, or is it unaffected by all passive buffs like % Physical Damage, spell power? Is cast speed the only way to improve it?

Hatred Aura and Added Fire Damage improve it. Other than that, only %physical damage from cruel bandits quest and from non-weapon gear as well as global crit chance/multipliers affect it.

Spell modifiers won't work.

added lightning damage support gem also works. my gem says it adds 1-21 dmg but the spell info says beartrap does 2-32 lightning damage, is that because of the "150% damage effectiveness"?

After reading the post i'm interested if skipping the fork/chains all together for
more added damage would be better. (after its put into effect)
- Don't know if it would change the passive build at all.

-Question-

I have seen a few Shadow EK Blood Magic builds with Iron Will that go pretty hard into the Marud/strength side of the map.

What are the pros/cons of a EK Blood Magic build vs OPs INT EB EK build?

Presumably the EK Blood Magic build would have more damage due to Iron Will?
However you're missing out on a lot of spell damage/crit mod nodes going on the massive
skilgramage down to BM - but is the flat damage from Iron Will worth it?


If this hold true for every char and dosent change on a class to class basis

Strength - grants +0.5 life and +0.2% melee physical damage per point
Dexterity - grants +2 accuracy and +0.2% evasion per point
Intelligence - grants +0.5 mana and +0.2% energy shield per point
Then 275 Str (if you have around 130 in Int/Dex) would translate in 55% increased
spell damage.

I don't have the game knowledge yet to delve too deeply into this, and im very
interested in
creating a well balanced end-game EK shadow.

Maybe i'm way off base with the Blood Magic build, but it seems feasible
and stacking life/%steal (some armor) nodes for survivability and not needing to
worry about mana would be a god send

Umm read the guide dude?... Everything from gear to stats are there including screenshots and links to gear he's using.
Chain and Fork which one is way to go now after nerfs?

Chain: Damage penalty has been increased from -40% to -50% and the number of chains has been reduced from 3 to 2.

Fork: Damage penalty changed to -30% from -20%
