I want to try this in OB as my first char ever. I kinda understand some stuff about OB that might change this build (especially reliance on granites).

What will change to compensate for granite nerf?

Flat armour values have been increased so that compensates for the granite nerf :)

I am planning to group alot, cause my friends invited me to the game, is this build sub optimal for grouping as a shadow?

I like the play style, or should I spec a different build for grouping.

Feel free to recommend one of your other builds as more group friendly, cause running out of mana all the time would just be an annoyance.
First of all I want to say thank you for this great build, I'm a new player and gonna play shadow in OBT. I'm very interested in PVP, but also in good pve experience and fast lvling. Can this build be fine in PVP also?
Do you actually get Natural Calm or not? In the 50/60 point trees you have Natural Calm but it is not connect to ANY nodes. Is this a bug or is that int node + natural calm part of the build?

The Spork build will probably be more group friendly :)

Yup, bear traps are one of the strongest single target DPS skills in this game. they'll be very useful in PvP as well.

Good spot! This is probably because I used to select it in the pre-OB version of the build and after it got moved the point was still considered as selected. Nope it isn't part of the build. will remove it.

What auras are worth using while leveling? I've been using Hatred since the low levels and just picked up Discipline but it doesn't seem worth using right now. Will discipline get better once you have EB?

EDIT: I actually turned Hatred off and Discipline on and it seems to be working out better. Still one/two shotting whites. Also took fork out and am using faster projetile+added fire to make up for the dps loss.

I'm level 41 in the HC league, only using discipline, other auras keep my mana too low for now. I still feel pretty weak using EK compared to Freezing Pulse + LMP, but I really haven't been able to optimize my gear/gems to make EK win so far.

Well, you could always switch off I guess, but my main plus to EK is that you don't have those areas where everything resists your damage.
I take it you skip all the quests with frost resist mobs? like the clearing of that place with the necro near the start, and killing the cave dwelling bug for the allflame? cos those places just go uber slow and i seem to die there on hardcore...? when u r skilling up EK for level 15, when using Freezing Pulse that is.

In HC, i generally skip fetid pool until later on if/when I need respec points. I kill the deep dweller early on for the skill point. Shipyard's Cave/Fairgraves quest I tend to skip until I can get enough lightning resists later on in act2. You'll find that fire trap will help as well.
