Damage over time mechanic change clarification?
" All DoT effects in the game work on a certain damage per second. Reduced Duration would keep the damage per second exactly the same and, unless you refresh the duration, simply make it expire faster. Meaning less total damage. I expected something like critting DOTs and maybe scaling with Attackspeed. Seems like I can't still go for Viper Strike as a main AOE skill.
Puncture is already great scaleable, I would love to see the same on VS. IGN: Scordalia_

Do Viper Strike, Poison Arrow, and Puncture DoTs deal "weapon damage"? Does "physical weapon damage while dual wielding" work with Puncture?

I'm curious as well, if I use viper strike with claws, do "claw" and "1h" damage nodes (or dual weilding) increase the dot from viper strike as well? |
