All DoT effects in the game work on a certain damage per second.

Reduced Duration would keep the damage per second exactly the same and, unless you refresh the duration, simply make it expire faster. Meaning less total damage.

I expected something like critting DOTs and maybe scaling with Attackspeed. Seems like I can't still go for Viper Strike as a main AOE skill.
Puncture is already great scaleable, I would love to see the same on VS.

Do Viper Strike, Poison Arrow, and Puncture DoTs deal "weapon damage"? Does "physical weapon damage while dual wielding" work with Puncture?

Do melee Puncture DoTs deal melee damage? Are they affected by melee physical damage bonuses?

I'm curious as well, if I use viper strike with claws, do "claw" and "1h" damage nodes (or dual weilding) increase the dot from viper strike as well?
