Actually I think it works

Trap + spectre + minion damage + increased burning damage + increased area + concentrated effect should do a nice combination.

If we could get a clarification on righteous fire, thsi would be nice :)

So increased burning dmg will not increase the dmg I take anymore? Is thsi correct? Same now with +x% fire dmg, it will icnrease the burning dmg of RF to enemies but not to yourself?

quick question for Mark: you just confirmed that rarity/quantity gems now fully work with DoTs, what about rarity/quantity from gear? will that apply as well?

Those already work.

Anyway, I'm less than impressed with the DoT rework, I expected more. I mean, it was already pretty effective in right setups, the rework was needed because it was confusing for new players, now it has some serious potential to do even worse. Pretty much the only good thing about the whole rehaul is DoT working with MF supports now, that limitation annoyed people since forever.

IIR and IIQ from gear always worked DOT effects so they should work after the change as well :)

fire/ele dmg dmg will only increase burning dmg further when it didint result from a hit right?

i.e. 100% inc fire/ele dmg and 50% burning dmg increase
my fireball hits for 50 withut modifiers
so it hits for 100 dmg (and if it ignits on a non crit) the target would burn for 125 dmg over 4 secs ?
and for firetrap (the burning dmg from the ground) which wouldburn for 50 dmg sec it would go up to 125 dmg sec ?

So does reduced duration work on viper strike? Will that reduce the duration of the dot but up the damage?
