Crit chance and multiplier is global unless it says otherwise. I can't find it now but I've seen bonuses that say critical chance for spells. That's why so many ice spear casters get Assassination or Bloodthirst keystones whn possible.

For those who have have gone full CI: Do you find that your character is way too squishy and dies frequently? I'm kind of leaning towards the luxury build for the survivability but I am not rich by any means. Is the luxury build only functional if you have incredible funds?

When I first went CI I definitely was squishy. I just lost about 650 HP, 2 or 3 pieces of my gear was not "meh"... they are downright bad. If I were on HC, I would definitely be going for HP.

But since I'm on default and am pretty much committed I'm sticking with it. I'd say CI is more gear dependent after the nerf. And if you are planning to go CI, chaos damage is rough before you get it (after all, you will only have a fraction of the HP of other non ES characters).

The real difference seems to be play style. When I remember to also be within running range of a totem I am safe. If I run mindlessly for a while and then hit a big pack without having a nearby totem, I may be in trouble fast. And it's nice to laugh at the alchemists in the sewer.

A bit of a general question here, but: Is there any way to get more than 8 keybound abilities?

I'm about to hit the +1 curse passive (making 3 with boots), and aggressively use fire/bear/conversion traps. I like to bind spacebar to move, and still value zombies as soakers/projectile blockers. Ideally I'd like frostwall and lightning warp handy, but the math isn't working out so well. Even dropping zombies completely and not having a dedicated move keybind, I'm hurting for space.

And yes, I do put my auras up then swap them out, still I'd like 10-11 keybinds in addition to clarity/discipline.

A fair bit of forums searching only turned up dev responses the gist of which was: "Definitely on the list of ui improvements we're looking at, but its a long list and those take time." Meaning: "quite possibly but not guaranteed, and likely in the far future."

So idealistically, which is better? The witch luxury build or the templar luxury build? What do you gain / lose with each?


Or am I totally wrong and the new added Lightning proj trumps both of those?


TEMPLAR VS WITCH BUILD?

So really freaking newb question:

You have 2 totems in your items. 1 is linked up in your main chest piece and the other is by itself. Do I need 2 spell totems or does the node just allow you to spam two with same hot key?

I'm almost level 40 and would rather not spend the orb of regret. Thank you for your patience.

Templar and Witch are the same thing really the differences are too small its just starting area.


Also for those that feel its annoying to put down a totem here and there to move forward just get Ice Wall. This skill is simply amazing and I much prefer it over minions. Just make sure your use to ur keys and are quick with it.

Guy on stream right now has almost 9k energy shield CI is still awesome just gotta hang in there for while till you get items.
