[Strongest Solo Variation: Projectile Madness Spectres] LMP/GMP Ice Spear 2x Totem 2x Curse 3x Traps
Personal findings so far: (nearing end of act 3 cruel, hitting level 50)
Summon Zombies. The build blatantly starts slow, but with leveled summon zombies freezing pulse/ice spear/lmp-freezing pulse can reasonably level solo to 31 when you get your totem up. This is even with no minion support gems/passive skills, their value at tanking/blocking projectiles/running interference is impressive. I did take the Lord minion passive initially, then respeced out of it when I hit double totems. Even now I find zombies still are a wonderful deal for one blue gem slot. Conversion trap. Holy..... If you're facing a pack you just can't figure out, you likely aren't using conversion trap aggressively enough. Get them fighting each other, then walk in, drop totems, curse, and follow with fire/bear traps. Fun fact: the totems in pyramid act 2 can be converted. (can't die aura, +80% move/attack speed aura, good times.) Not as effective as it sounds, but seriously funny. My gear (mainly resists) is awful, but when I die its usually to massed lightning casters/archers or those damn poison pools I wasn't watching close enough for. The playstyle takes a bit of practice, but it is very effective. Definitely going to regear/ES stack for CI on hitting merciless, mostly as an experiment more than anything else. Looking like I can get Body&Soul while act 1 merciless is still in the easy part, hopefully 2 curse passive as well. Again, thanks for the guide. Liking the build more and more as it goes on. |

I was just wondering what kind of top end damage I should be trying to get with my totems. Right now it says they are:
173.1 DPS 82-123 damage 1.42 casts per second 200% spell crit mult 18.9% spell crit chance I use elemental weakness with frostbite too. |

Anyone playing HC with pure CI build? Is it possible? Someone posted a HC build on page 39 without CI, this one:

Depending on how late I'll be working tomorrow and how long I'll work on saturday, a movie showing some map-play, some docks, some "how to" should be up by sunday/monday/tuesday at latest!

Yeah Gregz, makes sense. I remade my first totem witch at level 30 when the build changed drastically (not too much time invested so I didn't care much). I guess I'll just keep doing the CI build for now and maybe when the life build gets fleshed out I'll try that too.

I'm playing a build with dual ice spear totems and fire traps atm. The Focus is heavily on hp nodes, also double perma curses. I find it kinda hard to clear mobs fast when they come from all sides, like in open areas (fellshrine for example). Also my dmg output is damn low. ~95 dps with gmp ice spear, faster cast totem.

" that dps number is not an accurate description of the true skill damage. coming from all sides have to do with your positioning. if u cant position well, throw conversion traps on the side where ur totems are not covering. (p.s. fellshrine is a horrible example because that map is easy, mobs literally crawl in that map and u shouldnt get surrounded) IGN: hyperculler (torment)
