" I know that this was posted long time ago ... but i somehow forgot to answer it :( ... and i'm really sorry about that. I really try to answer every question and help to everyone as fast as i can and i've got no idea why i've skipped your post :/ . Sorry again ... i'll try to explain now ( if Catharsis is still playing this build and reading this thread ) So about the damage it's true that small things like gems that are not max level or a 6Linked chest so that you can use Faster Attacks or rings and amulet that are just a few X-X flat physical damage away from the max seems like something "minor" but when you add all those thing togheter it's actualy a pretty big deal. And btw my DPS ( as already mentioned a couple of times :) ) is with 3 frenzy charges on ... i've decided to take a screenshot with 3 frenzy charges because... well because you are with 3 frenzy charges 100% of the time. KorgothBG, I saw your Duelist Flicker build and I'd like to try it as different build. How do you think about the advantage and disadvantage between Witch CIFB build and Duelist Flicker build?

Because I have found a Facebreaker and since them never used it (even a legacy one) I really should try this kind of build. Only Problem is I play selffound and don't have much of the useful Uniques like Aegis Aurora (I have some of the lower level ones like the round shield).
I hope there is a way to play this without Aegis Aurora or the Abyssus Helmet. RNG is not that nice to me to drop useful uniques if I need them. ;) |

for a selffound build i'd suggest you my other Facebreaker build: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/445390/page/1 This one really is gear dependant and pretty much impossible without the needed gear @aresina Well what can i say... the two-handedflicker strike build is ... moe fun.. with good gear it clears maps faster simply because you move faster between monster packs. On the other hand the CIFB is tankier ( by alot! ) and it generaly has more damage. If you want a really powerful Flicker striker you could try an ES dagger crit flicker striker .. but in order to really make it work properly you need a godly dagger ( 100+ exalts ) "I'm going to show you pain you never knew existed, you're going to see a whole new spectrum of pain!!!!! I'm new to this game and am confused about an aspect of your guide (so I apologize ahead of time if this is a stoopid noob question). I see that starting on level 1 (where you describe the gear you've used) you list a bunch of uniques. How exactly do you go about getting these uniques? It seems like finding uniques is mostly reliant on luck? Also, isn't cleave a skill gem that only duelists start out with? Any help would be appreciated.

You are correct of course the_natural_selector. You can't get that gear from the very beginning ... but low level gear is very very.. VERY cheap! Besides how can you expect to make a Facebreaker character if you don't have the Facebreaker Gloves? :) Anyway this isn't my first character ( not even my 10th one ) and i've mentioned a couple of times that a new player should not start with this build because it is very gear dependant! So if yo plan to make this build with your first character... well... my advice would be.. don't!
As for cleave.. well it's very easy to get one! Just make a duelist - 2-3 mins later you'll be in townand you can put that cleave in your stash. Make a witch take the cleave from your stash - Boom! " This Build there seems to be even more expencive than the one here. Lioneye's Remorse (Map drop only afaik), Bringer of Rain etc... (WITH chest armor???) Well, I guess then the Aegis Aurora seems cheaper but so or so I think I will try to compensate these Uniques with "normal" rare Items like I always did in PoE. Excapt some Orb of Chance luck I had of course ;) CI Witch looks fine, will see how far I come with her if I ever start the build. All I hope is that killing will be a little bit faster than with my also very tanky oldschool Groundslam Marauder. |

" I've also been playing (mostly) self-found, and the build is pretty effective even without an AA (I've been using a Rathpith instead, but that's much, much cheaper). I haven't done the really tough stuff (hardest map I've done was a 71 one), but I've been able to kill pretty much everything. No, you can't just sit still and facetank the likes of Kole, but you can kill him and everything else pretty easily and quickly. As for the Abyssus, here's a tip: if you have a few chaos worth of currency in Hardcore or Nemesis, you can buy one over there (they're much, much cheaper) and just bring it over to Standard. Much better than paying the 3-6 exalteds people are asking for here. |
