[1.2.0] How to Smash Heads.Guide for a CI Facebreaker Witch with Infernal blow2
" Well, while I think it's "fast enough" for what I want it to do (get me close to ranged mobs before they can cause too much trouble), I still think it would be too finicky to use as a primary attack (mostly because I think the way the screen swerves around is a bit too disorienting). Maybe if all 3 gems were 20%, but that's probably too bothersome to try anyway (in my setup the only quality one is LW, and that's only 7%). I haven't really theorycrafted it at all, though. Thanks for your thoughts Faldrath.
I've tried it too with no Quality low level gems.. i guess. it could work to some extend.. after all it's a spell and at the moment pretty much all spells ( except discharge ) are not powerful enough. What i don't like about is that you can't cast it right next to you.. and the mana cost in insanly high... Anyway sorry for the off-topic... that would be all for LW from me in this thread :) "I'm going to show you pain you never knew existed, you're going to see a whole new spectrum of pain!!!!! with no hp nodes, this build is very unreliable if you are soloing on nemesis on low lvls because any volatile _blood will one shot you. RIP my lvl 39 witch ;(

Thanks for answering my questions.
I still have a problem with dps, i can only achieve 35k atm, i want to know how should i improve it, or it's just the gems. Thanks, below are my gears.

" Your gear is almost the same as mine. I was wondering the same thing. I am about 32k, but that is with 3 frenzy charges and auras running. I am level 83, and will be getting +aura effectiveness nodes soon. Korgoth has an amazing neck, but I wouldn't think that would make that drastic of a difference. |

@Deadfear
I'm sorry to hear that. I guess you need to have some extra life in Nemesis ... i really thought that it was obvious... sorry again @frankliang988 and Vornado71 Is that with 3 Frenzy charges from Blood Rage ( @frankliang988 ) Other than that.. the gems ( level 20 hatred? ).. and you can get slightly more DPS from your rings/amulet and aura effectiveness "I'm going to show you pain you never knew existed, you're going to see a whole new spectrum of pain!!!!! oh, that makes sense. I am at 40k dps totally buffed, might reach 41k when i complete the build (Leveling the gem). Btw, how long does it take to lvl a gem from 1-20? is there an easier trick to lvl the gems? ty

No trick (atleast i'm not aware of any)
I have many level 20 gems from other characters. And it takes... well if you put it on at level 1 it'll reach level 20 when you are at around character level 90. "I'm going to show you pain you never knew existed, you're going to see a whole new spectrum of pain!!!!! Like a RAINBOW!"

It's a bit weird that someone with excellent gear like frankliang988 wouldn't know how long leveling a gem takes, but ah well.
Anyway, I wanted to talk about my leveling experience a bit, especially after seeing Deadfear's post about dying early in Nemesis. I play Standard, but I do feel my little 42 witch is very much of a glass cannon as I enter Cruel. I haven't had any problems to kill anything (just did Brutus), but when things get a shot on me, the lack of health nodes makes itself felt. This is probably due to my leveling gear. I'm somewhat experienced in PoE, so I'm pretty much going with high DPS, high MF gear; and since I had never done an ES character before, I have very little armor/ES gear. So I'm using Goldwyrm, The Peregrine, etc. My 5L chest is arm/eva. So I have much more evasion than anything else. So my defensive stats right now look like this: 712 life 21% damage reduction from armor 37% chance to evade 17 energy shield (yes, I know) 62% chance to block Resists are ok, and I have a fair deal of life leech. All this to say: if you're leveling with this build and have a setup more or less like mine (that is, gear that isn't ideal yet for the build), *do not* take Unwavering Stance when the guide tells you to. You can't afford to lose that evasion right now, you have too little life and not enough ES to make up for it. It's still a lot of fun and I haven't died yet, but maybe this tip will help some people. |

I guess it's only me who had no problem with dying whil leveling :D
I really have no idea why.. i mean i've been doing Cruel Dominus at level 43( the biggest mistkae i've made.. died there for the first time.. and the second.. and the third)! It might be my leveling gear... it might be my playstyle.. maybe it was just luck.. maybe it's the way i level the places i farm etc ... i really don't know! For the ES i had NO ES untill level 62... so it's not about the ES... If someone feels squishy i'd suggest to take life nodes... i mean you can always respec them ( you have 12 respec points in total just from your quests) For the Unwavering Stance.. if you have high evasion chance.. then yes it might be a good idea to not take it for awile.. just be carful... if you are surrounded and stunned you will die!
