Itemlevel on forums

+1 from me.
Very good suggestion, I don't know why this is not possible already, should be fairly obvious.
+1.

XYZ will be an essential part of the game until either SFL or an official market searcher becomes available.
Give xyz whatever he wants, his search website is the only thing that keeps this game alive or else trading would be even more horrendous
+1 !
I support!
+1 great shout

Scrotie's point is that a system which categorically organizes buyouts erodes the barter economy. I don't think he would mind an indexing site, solely for the purpose of looking up which rare items exist and who possesses them--this facilitates trading. Buyouts remove haggling (you know, like "hey I got this sweet ring but it doesn't have the mods I need, you have that sweet ring that doesn't have mods you need, let's talk business") and reinforces price tags. Price tags reinforce orbs as bank investments rather than crafting materials.

The notion of a barter system like this, without using orbs as currency, is ludicrous. You have items that are good for specific builds which have specific defensive choices (life vs ES and such) and are missing specific resists and an item might fill that hole. The odds of two people who just happen to have items that are roughly equal in value and that perfectly fit each other's builds/resist needs/defensive choices/personal choices/etc may as well be 0%. Without a site like xyz it can be difficult to even find the correct item you're looking for, and you expect us to find the correct item we're looking for, while finding someone who happens to need a roughly equal value item I possess? With zero tools available to actually find said person between the mass of trade spam? If this is the goal, you may as well remove trading from the game.

There's a reason we moved on from the barter system in real life. Can you imagine going to buy a car? "Hi, I'd like to buy a car, I have an Xbox, a big screen TV, a bed and a few dozen eggs for trade, let's make a deal!"
