Itemlevel on forums

As a shopkeeper, this would be amazing. Never need to answer that question again. And crafting would be so much easier if I could just know what I was buying before I contacted someone.

This is not the Diablow Two way. GGG is living in the past. This will never happen. Trading has to be the most difficult part of the game.

Nice suggestion, a bit anoyying searching for ilvl 50+ item uniques & risk getting scammed if you dont check. If trade ever becomes 100% online [via website & not game client] then this change is actually essential, because I would never be able to trade online without knowing the ilvl first.

-1, I dont want another auction house simulator which basically what that tool is, you are taking away the haggling part of the game and set fixed prices on items.

wrong most people don't have prices so the haggling is still there.

i use an indexer all the time and still have to haggle for an agreeable price between buyer and seller

Hi, all.

I'd like to request an addition of itemlevel to items linked on forums.

Displaying it on forums may lead to confusion so it is not really needed. All I want is for it to appear in the last <script> block, where item data is stored. This way no one will be confused and it still will be extremely useful for us, external tools developers.

This way users of those external tools will be able to, for example, search for items based on itemlevel (which is what many want).

If GGG asked for a vote on this, my opinion would be to please not add this. If the players are interested in an item, they can see it's level when they are in the trade screen- and GGG might include the information as part of the trading process when they update it.

I think making too much information available through third party tools devalues good items. Some people will automatically exclude lower ilevel items that are perfectly good and well suited for the player's needs.

There are players who haven't found a lot and what they do have for trade will likely become obsolete because it doesn't have perfect stats or highest Ilevel.

As for putting it in a script, but hiding it in the forums - I would say NEVER!

Why? Because this gives automated/third party tools an advantage that real life players do not have. This seems to violate the spirit of GGG's non-automation policies.

You probably should look at this page:

PATH OF EXILE - TERMS OF USE AND PRIVACY POLICY

6. Restrictions: Under no circumstances, without the prior written approval of Grinding Gear Games, may you:

(f) Use any data gathering and extraction tools or software to extract information from the Website or utilize framing techniques to enclose any of the contents of the Website.

The part of trade that is broken is not finding items that players want to buy, it's agreeing on a price and completing the transaction.

The meta tags you are suggesting will not facilitate solving either problem.

I would rather see what GGG has developed in their trade update and go from there.

Human interaction is a good thing, reminding us that we are all flawed and biased and only by working towards compromise will we reach agreement.

Not a large amount of people know about Hover + CTRL + C to see the item level of an item, at the very least it should implemented into the hover tooltip.

+1 would be a good feature
