[1.0.1] HeavyUnit's 21k Single Target CI FP Crit Build!

Well, like I mentioned, it's rare that I do die. But it does happen. Even though I'm a softcore player, I hate the XP loss, it really sets you back when you get to a high level (wasting tons of time and currency). I feel like it should be pretty well suited for hardcore leagues as is. I mean, I have taken all of the ES nodes near me and am way overcapped for res. I'm not sure how much more I could improve the build for survivability. I currently have 11k ES.
Status Update

I am currently level 70 using this build on Domination. So far I am able to solo up to Piety and complete 66-67 maps. Sometimes I do need a Melee in the group which is fine since I do play in groups most of the time. The group I play with love having me keep things frozen. So far I have not run into many issues with survive-ability.

With Discipline I only have 3.2k ES with maxed resists. And FP shows 3k dps on the icon. I am working on farming currency to buy some higher ES/DPS gear.

Nice man, glad the build has been working for you. How much did you get that chest for? I'm building a spectral throw CI scion and will need one soon. Pretty nice gear, just start working toward the ES/Armor clusters in the templar and you're set.
Im only lvl 19 right now, so dont know much about it. i just want too be a solo dps, crit and curse/aura witch. can i avoid using skeletons, since i really dislike summons/pets??

You're not really 'using' the skeletons as an active skill since they are on a totem. It's up to you of course, but if you plan on soloing, it's hard for most witches to take on bosses by themselves. The skeleton totem gives you a meatshield to distract and absorb some damage of bosses so you can DPS them down. As far as curses go, if you are trying to go dual curse, this build is not for you. It takes too many points to get dual curse, though you could achieve this with Windscream boots if you choose. Cheers!
why get crit strike chance on the passive tree? I thought spells use crit strike chance on spells? and crit strike chance only affects attacks

I thought that when I first started the game too.

Turns out it works this way :

"Critical strike chance" applies to everything (i.e : Bloodthirst)
"Critical strike chance with spells" applies to spells only (i.e : Doom Cast)
"Critical strike chance with <type of weapon>" applies to the base crit chance of said weapon (i.e : From the shadows)
"Critical strike chance while holding <type of weapon>" applies to everything as long as you wield a weapon that belongs to said "type" (see "Serpent Stance")

so there is no difference between global crit strike chance and crit strike chance?
nice work!!!
