You might want to add a "Current Gear" spoiler tab to the guide so people can see it there, might stop them from asking for your gear as much. ^^

Also, is it hard going with zero chaos resists? I notice you have none on your gear.

And lastly, have you considered throwing a Item Quantity in your Bear Trap instead of Added Fire? More drops is nice and the fire damage can mess up Elemental Equilibrium as I understand it. And since it has Culling Strike, should be fairly easy to last hit with it anyway, unless your damage output is so high you simply melt rares aswell. ^^
Would a Searing Touch now be better for this build with the new changes to DoT or would a Dagge + Shield still be the best option?
How's Fire Trap damage now after patch! Thinking about resurrecting my trapper with 6L searing and giving it a go againam
I havent read through most of this so apologies if this has already come up.

Is it possible to use Trap support gem with Puncture?

Chaos Resists - Chaos Damage generally comes in the form of Viper Strikes or Poison Clouds in this game. Very few things do direct damage as Chaos Damage. In the situation that you fight a unique boss-like snake that shoots direct damage chaos bolts, you're a very mobile character and can avoid the bolts rather easy if you're smart.

Item Quantity - I play on Domination, Item Quanity Gems are non-exsistant in this league.

Before the patch, dagger + shield won by quite a bit. After the patch, the numbers are a lot closer but the damage output is roughly the same. With a Searing Touch, you lose all the defensive bonuses a shield can give you so in the end, dagger and shield are still better.

Fire Trap's damage is still insane, and the ignite nerf/change didn't affect this build really at all.

As long as you have enough damage bonuses to boost ignite's damage by roughly 67%, you're right back to the same damage it was doing pre-patch.

i dont get why clever consturuction is needed , traps just explode no1 destroys them right
some1 need to get to them to destroy them so they gonna boom at that time
