DonaldF's EK DANMAKU Ranger Extremely High DPS /Jan.14 little update [Videos]
What do you guys think about increased critical damage in the slot of the last EK?
Fireball definitely seems effective as well, but it breaks my heart that it's not benefiting from hatred. I swapped out the last EK for an increased critical damage, and it seems to be doing ok. The gem with quality adds like 140% increased critical strike damage, and spell critting at 50 percent nets like a 70 percent damage increase (140/2 = 70). This is obviously less than another EK with 100% damage increase, but it seems ok. The problem I'm having now is that my damage seems inconsistent. Since they changed the gem to cast 86 of the time, I'm still losing out on overall EK's (2 at 63 percent or so, which was like 91 percent of the time at least 1 would cast) so my damage feels more bursty (plus the last gem only takes in effect if the spell crits 50 percent of the time) What do you guys think? It's overall weaker but its the best combo I can come up with. |

Careful, the 70% from inc crit dmg is INCREASED damage, while with the other EK it was 100% MORE damage (double).
Overall, using another offensive spell seems better. (or added fire damage maybe) D2 4ever ;)

wait, do you mind explaining the math to me further?
having a hard time wrapping my head around that |

I have a few questions to ask before trying this build:
1. Is this build still shines? or is it just got badly nerfed? 2. Is this build still can do with 5l or other cheap item? 3. How much currency to spend to build this build? (not to end-game) |

Where are you getting enough mana regen from to sustain 80+ mana spins and an arctic armor? Maybe its from your tree? I only see 2 gear pieces with mana regen on them.. could you link your tree also? Last edited by shdwknght#4455 on Jan 11, 2014, 1:36:50 PM

I use clarity too, and don't forget the 1% mana leech on the ring.
As for my passive tree, here it is: http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAgIAAAYAXgHRBH4FfQguDkgRlhXwFfYZihmOGo8a2xv6I_Yk_SXfJpUppS2DL280kzpYR35KfU4qUEJTNVVLVi1W6lb6Wkhbr13yXvpieWNwZU1noG1sbXtuaXBScFZwu3DVf8aCHoTZhxmHdohCjDaQG5cGmhObjZu1naOhIqIuokCkGavFrH-v67VItkG-p8APwFHBxcM6xKLEuNA50O7STdN-1QDV-NkT2wvb1N0N51Ttg-4O73rv4-_w8h3z6vT49tr3o_lj-wn8q_zF |

Found a new dagger and maybe its better than the one i use in the off hand so what's your opinion?
currently new found |

check your dps and then youll know, but i think the kris is better.
BTW you can check the dps of your attached spell, and it factors in crit chance and all that |
|
Ah thx didn't know you can check the attached skills too :) Kris is better, not that much but still ;)

believe me, I didn't know for half of the time creating my character either lol...
@ bloodb4thhh 1. This build is still great, even as is although some favor two different spells instead of ek + ek 2. This build works well with 5L as well as 6L. 3. You can get very good daggers for less than an exalt. You can even get endgame daggers for 3-6 exalts such as mine. You can do very well with mediocre gear with this gear, considering the guy who made this was clearing maps with a tabula rasa. Plan on spending at least 3 exalts worth to be able to beat the game. If you want to do maps, then chances are you are looking at more in the 15-20 exalt range probably, although you can definitely make do with less. It is not an expensive build Last edited by jsuslak313#7615 on Jan 11, 2014, 6:07:25 PM
