Hey guys, new Cast on critter player. I've read alot into peoples fixes an bandaids to the build. It will no longer be back to it's original state. What I can say is I've been following / talking with a german player. Someone I came across on youtube playing this build actually. Oddly enough browsing for some new fun to the game. Some things I've seen / talking with my german friend.

Point Blank is actually...pretty awesome now.
Doom cast...?

WELP.
Cast on Damage taken + Life Leech + Increased AOE + Discharge (Doom cast~)
Blood Magic + CoC + Ek + LL + Cyclone + Faster Projectiles (Not sure on this one still testing, Faster proj with point blank should cancel the end of the damage lower to be just normal.)

So it's not the old tons of projectiles, but it's still possible to play.

Just my german friend showing 76 maps still easily do-able.

have been wondering if anyone has videos of a more tanky version with shield + max block too. A great shield would give me like 2-3k ES with this ES build. Can hardly find anything out there about the Danmaku + shield.

it's not really the tanky version (i made the build myself, coming from a self-made quill rain CoC build), but it's pretty similar.

video of a 69 map, with physical reflect.
the only noticeable HP drop (@0:22) comes from an EK crit on a double phys reflect.

couldn't find an aegis, so i'm using a rathpit globe for almost max spell globe (yummy).
my build is a bit different :
- i didn't spec into auras, so i just use tempest shield (with PCoC) and grace or hatred (generally grace cause i like being extra tanky).
- i took eldritch battery to run cyclone on mana, cause i don't have an aegis.

the next thing i'll go for is "from the shadows", probably followed by either ballistic mastery or charisma (to squeeze in hatred on top of grace and tempest shield, and running cyclone on BM).

in your case castellani, you should really go for deflection (shield block near ghost reaver), as 8% would make a huge difference.


concerning the skills :
i'm running a way more defensive set-up on CwDT : flame totem + blind + GMP and enduring cry + immortal call + increased duration
another possible defensive set-up : artic breath + spell totem + GMP and temporal chains + enduring cry

stuff

dagger is trash and needs to change, shield should ideally be aegis aurora (with boots then changing to rainbowstride, and dropping eldritch battery).
also need to exalt a bit more resistance on rings.
