Unless you think the fact that my daggers have internal weapon effect adds damage lol. Is my gear good? Sure is it the best? " I don't mean to get in the middle of something, but do you by any chance know why everyone seems to think that only 1 ek will fire at time now? I am new and was just hoping for some help here. I have tested that more then 1 spell can fire at the same time, but could not tell if more then 1 ek fires off still. Either way I have a 4 link and level 69 and im still having no issues but I sure would love to know why we no longer should run more then 1 eK? Thank you. |

" fireball : works pretty well. cold snap : no, CoC doesn't bypass the cd. utter crap (unless you're using a voll's 6L). FP : work pretty well too, less damage than fireball but can freeze. Ice nova : not so good. better AoE than FP, but damage is even less (base damage lower, and doesn't get increased proj damage from tree). discharge : needs charges to be efficient. that requires a different kind of setup than most people have (voll's, or blood rage & PCoC). shock nova : didn't test yet. storm call : not better than ice nova. the delay is way too much to make it useful (except against very large packs if you don't move too much and let the monsters come to you, or a boss that doesn't move an inch). i will also test arc when i can, even though it seems inferior to fireball imo. So I 5L'd a Volls today. What do you guys think of running Cyc-CoC-BM-EK-Discharge and running Blood Rage? I was using the top dps version. I don't think I'd really have to change around the passives much if at all. I'm not sure if it'd even be worth it to pick up more charges since discharge would be going off so much you probably wouldn't have time in between casts to build up more than a few charges.
The discharge damage would lack a little without so many spell passives but mixed with still having one EK in there it should be enough. |

How does the tanky shield version of the build hold up after the nerf? Also, I tried running 5 link voll's with a discharge and an EK, the problem I ran into was discharge is ROUGH on reflect w/o vaal pact.

" Fireball simply rules. This is also fixing the problem with phys reflect if you go acrobatics build like me. Tabula rasa is very viable still - I have lvl 84 Nemesis ST CoC Acrobatics, pure eva build and still using tabula rasa - playing lvl 68 maps rare basically any mods. MY CHALLENGES ARE DONE ON HC, IT'S NOT SC GUYS!

Hmm OK thanks for testing some of those Blaes. I'm at work right now but when I head home I'll check or some of those combos. Fireball seems interesting because shooting one at a time still means you will have a bit of aoe with it because of the spell itself. I'm thinking FP might be even better because it goes through mobs but we will see. I'll try and trade some of my lvl 20 eks for some lvl 20 fireball, FP, etc.
