[GUIDE] The Tri-nuke -version1.3
Want to post my current setup. A little different, still. I think I rely more on fire trap, but the lightning warp trap is equally as impressive. I Guess I'm more of a universal "trap" build.
http://goo.gl/6Olc7s - passives Even though some of my gear leaves a bit to be desired, the build tears through end game so far, up to 67-68 maps. Biggest thing of note, is I still use deerstalkers, and really like them. ign: who_dey, Akbaaah Last edited by hootyhoo#2138 on Dec 6, 2013, 10:04:20 AM

I think your skilltree is much better - the nodes in the Shadow tree left from 40% spellpower are really inefficient, so it makes sense to get rid of them for evasion, IR and more life. Do you have enough mana to run 3 auras without -10% mana reserved nodes? Increasing Field of View in PoE: /1236921 Last edited by Shajirr#2980 on Dec 3, 2013, 1:06:57 PM

Not effectively enough to spam traps when I need to. But I just run Grace & Purity, then have about 500 mana with a fast enough regen that it rarely slows me down.

" How hard to get 3 Blue on the Deer stalkers(# of chrom's)? My carcass jack is only 4L right now and trying to use them as a substitute till I can get 5L. Also thank's to the OP for this build. IGN: Valisirin

Which would you use? I know the cast speed plays no role so there really is no downside to doedres. |

Your article is great, I ask that I can be reproduced in other Forums?

I didn't follow the guide, but I did try making a lightning based trapper using triple lightning warp traps and triple shock nova traps (instacast with sunblast/reduced duration). There are some things people should be aware of if they're going to try this build.
Trap cooldown and mana costs are a major issues. The trap passives that let you you have additional active traps do not change the 3 trap limit of the individual skills, so you need multiple trap types to fully take advantage. I had 3 types of traps going (bear traps, lightning warp, shock nova) and I still had to wait if I spammed. Mana consumption was extremely high and dps was not that impressive tbh. Frankly I don't think non-fire-traps are viable for boss-types or high hp mobs in groups at all. The problem with the lightning warp calculations is that you assumed that you can cast consistently so the crit averages out. But you can't, due to trap cooldown and the mana costs of spamming so many traps (6+?) instantly. Trap laying is very bursty/sporadic in nature (compared to normal attack skills where you can hold the attack button down for continous output). Lightning warp is also highly random in where it decides to land, so probably half your hits won't land at all. I aborted mine, but if anyone can manage to make this work with a decent clear speed, I'm interested. I think quillrain-coc-stormcall is a better option if you want to go for that "raining lightning from the skies" effect. How is the crit of lightning warp calculated? Is it one roll for departure and arrival? Or are they calculated separately?
I also cannot agree to Myrthr. Mana costs are not an issue with the right gear setup. Blue and yellow packs just melt with a single multitrap use. Map bosses are tripple shocked after 18 hits of lightning warp and if not dead a bear trap or fire trap will do the rest. The only problem is to gear up defensively. I started as templar, so there is no chance in keeping the core of the build and going IR. I will see if a combination of selfcast molten shell + enduring cry will be enough or if I have to go deep for some armour on gear. Ign: Ohjeahx
