[1.3]Cold Witch guide for beginners (Lvl 1 to Atziri)

Anyone know how viable this guide is for invasion/hardcore league?

Imho the build is a bit too fragile for HC.
Here are two modifications (take it with a grain of salt as i haven't played HC on a cold witch. Pure theorycraft!)
1) Life build that goes for IR to protect against physical damage. I took Eldritch Battery to cpmpensate for the loss of Deep Thoughts (i have to shave off some points somewhere). I took Sovereignty as you will have to run Grace.
IR life build

2) A CI build that goes for more block.
CI build with block
Ethereal Knives will still suck as you can't (shouldn't) replace the Chayula with the Lazhwar amulet. Join a party when facing the spider.

I have the question why you prefer to use IR for life build while adding block for CI build :).
Since life-based build can still stack armour by using strength equipment; while CI build probably need to use all intelligence equipment?

Even a life build will end up with eva or eva/es hybrid chest because of the colour requirements of the gems. I also assume maxed resistances without running a purity aura so there is enough room for a grace aura. Going for IR seemed natural.
I took block for CI (aside from maybe not having enough room to run grace because of discipline) because you don't need to spend way points to get them; for life you would have to spend transitional points. Plus Rainbowstrides (and Rathpith Globe) that are good choices for a CI build synergize well with a high block build.
But there sure are modifications that would allow for life max block or CI IR.

I'm running your life based witch build for a FP witch and it's fun, I'm dabbling in searing bond for variety, lvl 57 ambush league.

One question though, I think life on hit gem would work better than life leech on FP in view of the latest nerf, what do you think?

Life gain on hit only works with attacks, not spells.

Tree/guide has been updated days ago.

Is EB/MoM still a great tool to further mitigate more damage when you go life or is it too much trouble/wasted points to reach? If its still viable what would be a good route to take to get there?
