Regnar's dual wield sword ranger build, now with Blood Magic!
hey I've been trying this build out... I just killed Brutus, and I'm slowly working my way towards the end of act 1 normal.
I have a few questions though, if anyone can help me. What gems should I be using for this build? Right now I'm using mostly cleave, dual strike, whirling blades (just for mobility), and clarity. Are there any other important gems I should be looking for in terms of reaching endgame safely? I'm at the quest reward where I can either choose Wrath, Hatred, or Flicker Strike... but I'm lost as to which I should choose. I don't think I need flicker strike at this point, because I already have plenty of damage output skills and mobility. However both Hatred and Wrath will bring my mana pool INCREDIBLY low since I'm already using clarity. Any advise would be appreciated! Also if the OP could update the guide with Gear / Skill suggestions that'd be great. The passive tree for this build looks awesome, but I'm just not sure where to go from there. I've watched the video so I have an idea of what skills to use, but I'm not 100% sure!
" for the skill at the begening,cleave/dual strike/wirling blade/flicker strike/warlord mark (until you grab blood magic this one cost lots of mana so use it only on really dangerous pack)/grace (soon as possible, best aura ever especialy for iron reflexe user),wrath/anger (only 1 of those 2 in the begening since it reserve to much mana),try to link your dual strike and cleave with faster attack and meele physical dmg when you can. dont use clarity,it reseve way to much mana and in the end,its more bad then not using it.use grace/wrath instead and use 2-3 flask of mana and it will be enought. flicker strike is mostly to teleport on some monster.its usefull for rare and boss mostly when they hit hard, you step back, regen, flicker and hit them, you save time to walk to them and give them a chance to even hit you before you can.it will also lvl your gems so like that when you reach higther lvl it will be up to date. |

Wrath and Anger give that much of a dps increase? I would figure replace those blue sockets to get something like life leech gem or something. No?

I recommend this build.
Going to hit 50 soon, works pretty good, even with shit gear (act 3 cruel). Pros: + works with shit gear. + high dps. + high mobility. Cons: - needs to be played properly. Twitch: twitch.tv/gg_nore | Twitter: @Ler_GG

" How's it working out with BM? What do you do to get life leech? Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

" pros works with shit gear?not rly.if you dont reach your max resist or near, you will get rape.if your weapon are shit, wont kill fast enought and your life leech wont be that good,if you have low evasion/hp gear, mobs hit really really hard and can spike you 100-0 in 2 sec and dont forget boss like Kole that can 1 hit you (2 with normal attack) even with granite up.the only way to kill those boss or hard hiting mobs like that are decoy totem. when you will reach merciless its another story.im 68 i have 80/57/80 resist 3k1 hp and in act3 merciless i can still get rape by some monster really easyli and end-game maps....some are not fun at all. in end game you need hight gear to make it work and not die. thanks for the replies!
also, i'm about to do the bandit quests... what should I choose as reward?
" If the server does not lag, and you have a decent ping, you can kinda out skill anything with good usage of flicker strike + whirling blades - Every minute I play on act 3 cruel or higher, my hp are lower than 5% ;) But this is the reason this build is so good - Skill can carry the whole build. " you will see.cruel is nothing compared to merciless.skill help, yes.you can avoid a lot with flciker/wirling blade etc but at some point, it wont save you. |
