Regnar's dual wield sword ranger build, now with Blood Magic!
" Not if your focus is elemental damage. |

By mistake I took the resistance, but an extra passive would be best IMO

hp is way better then all resist for the bandit.with all the % hp nods,+40 hp mean 100+ hp.for blood drinker i took it but i might remouve it later when i will have better gear with life leech and real hight dmg to make life leech effective.for the gem life on hit or life leech,on regnar gear there was any of those 2 and i never used them and still do fine.for cleave try aiming for faster attack/meele physical dmg/concentrated effect.that what im using right now.when you can get a 5-6 link, culling attack and fire dmg.you want cleave to be fast and hit pretty hard to kill fast and make life leech work.
between Lyralei, if you focus elemental dmg you are doing it wrong since life leech come from physical dmg and this build is all about life leech.you can get some elemental dmg on the side with wrath/anger/fire dmg support and the 30% fire dmg passive but that it.your weapon/all other passive/other support gem should all be about physical dmg or your life leech wont be effective enought. for the cruel/merciless bandit reward i took the 12% physical dmg and for merciless im still not sure.endurance charge i dont think it would be that effective since we get them from warlord mark and its only a chance to get a charge and be able to always keep them up wont be possible most of the time.we wont be able to get the 4 charge that often unless we get endurance cry to help.i was thinking about the frenzy charge but with the -60% chaos resistance, blood rage might hurt as fuck so i will wait a little to see how bad it will hurt and if im still able to use it, frenzy charge should be the best to get.if we cant, grab the extra skill. |

HP is far and beyond the best pick for normal. For cruel and ruthless I plan on taking the Skill point and frenzy charge.
I know the wipe took out most my guide, but I am building her again and will soon update it with current gear, stats, spec and a tasty video when she hits maps again. RegnarDrowsII - 79 DW Ranger, #6 One month race 10/16/2012

Welcome back Ceto! I am currently trying out your build and am getting creamed in act 2 (just started it am lvl 22).
I have been taking the health nodes as soon as they are available and have a decent hp pool (I think, it's around 400 atm) so I can only guess its a gearing issue. Any tips for for lower lvl gearing? What type of armour should I shoot for, best choices for rings and amys etc. IGN~Dyspeptic or Praecantarix

" I'm new to this as well, and just finished Act 2. I went straight for Iron Reflexes and ignored health nodes at first. The insane damage coming in completely stopped after getting it. I'm glad I went straight for it, and I think I'll even continue to neglect health nodes until I get the passive that ignores stuns. What I am having trouble with is having enough intelligence to level the Wrath gem. Should I just have an armor piece dedicated to to getting intel for it or not bother leveling it until later? I also still have practially no support gems at level 30. Just Added Cold Damage and Added Elemental Weapon Damage, and I can't tell if they are doing much at all. |

Thanks Ceto for your awesome guide! I just want to know smth:
Im at the moment Level 42 with the Ranger and my onlyest problem ist that im not able to spam my dual strike or cleave. I already tryed it out with clarity but that dosent help much. How do you handle it with mana until you hit blood magic? IGN: afkfredAAs Last edited by safredAAs#7462 on Jan 27, 2013, 3:22:57 AM

ho nice ceto your back :)
for the cruel bandit reward the 12% physical dmg dont worth it?i took it and my dmg increase a little but not as much as i tought but well ^^. i asked in previous post what would be the best option at higther lvl after that you take all the passive in the current build you posted.with the act3 you get many passive skill point also. from what i saw, i was thinking about the dual weild block chance.with 13 nods you can get +22% chance to block (for a total of 40% chance to block) +1 frenzy charge+18% frenzy duration + 31% physical dmg increase when dual weild.in my opinion that a pretty hudge boost for that build.frenzy charge are always nice, some dmg boost and blocking almost half the hit will make a big boost to survavibility. have the chance to block often will give your hp some time to recover since life leech isnt instant recovery.after that mabey grab +dmg or some +hp,not sure.i just want to ask your opinion about those block chance if its a good idea or not. also, what do you think about blood rage and the -60% chaos resist now?do you think blood rage might be a bad idea without lot of chaos resist that seem almost impossible to get right now? |

" for wrath, just stop lvling it till you can reach those +30 int nods.dont try to rely to much on +int gear because if you find a really nice gear upgrade and you cant use it because the old one was giving you +int and remouving it will make your wrath unable to use. |

is this build viable to level the character ?
i mean, i'm ranger 27 using bows, can i respec on this level to use yours ? even at level 27 ? or should i wait like level 40+ ? thanks |
