Wouldn't Bringer of Rain be amazing for this build?
Not really , you lose lots of armour and are forced to go iron reflexes if you run a bringer of rain. If you want to use a bringer of rain you're better off going an unarmed version of this build.
I had a BoR drop while running maps. At the time, I was in desperate need of a chest upgrade. I was poor (still) and I could've sold the BoR and splurged on uber gear. I really want to keep the BoR for a future toon so I had to opt for chest-less.
It was a huge increase in Armor and HP for me, yes my gear was that bad.
Level 83 now and still using BoR. Still facetanking most bosses, granted I haven't done any maps higher than 75.
Having a normal gear setup is definitely better, but the BoR is a good temporary solution to gear problems in my opinion - if you already have it. Also if still able to max resistances.
Had to respec some block and HP nodes to get Iron Reflexes, which I will respec out of once I get a proper chest piece.
Yeah it's indeed perfectly viable , but I mainly replied no on it being "amazing" , it's really better for the facebreaker version , they benefit so much more from the +physical

You know, the more i think about this, the more this actually might work pretty damn good.
BOR - Infernal, multi, weapon elemental, splash. Dps would be exceptional.
You gain 15% block, additional chances for endurance, and a shit load of evasion. you'd obviously then probably take iron reflexes. YOu'd probalby still end up with more armor outside of a godly 1500 + astral. You wouldn't miss out on the HP ( in fact, you'd probably gain).
The only downside is the fact you'd need to give up some defense nodes (maybe block?) to get resists.

Blind in the helm wouldn't work because of unwavering stance , and the gems are only lvl 18 non quality , so it'd be worse than a 6L. Also we already have almost no armour on our shield and none on the boots. The build would just have too low armour and you'd need to pick up like 5 extra skillpoints to reach IR, also rainbowstrides only have 8% resist now , BOR has no resists , lazhwar has no resists, you have no chest. It'd just be a complete hell to get resist capped.
If you do manage to get capped resists from just having complete godlike rings/gloves/belt , you could try BOR , but I had the build with a 4 month league in mind , not for a permanent league where you got time to get gear like that. If you do play standard/hardcore though I guess it's something to aim for ;)

Ah box, by no means was i questioning the build; i've used yours in nem up to 84 now and it works wonderfly. I'm not "invincible" in the higher level maps, but i still feel pretty safe overall.
I guess I was just thinking what else could be done. I might give it a whirl at 85 or so since i have a bit of disposable income.
Nice dps on that mace , I myself would probably exalt it and hope for the best , but I usually exalt sooner than others though , as it saves the trouble of having to trade for upgrades.

I was trying to wrestle around with the idea yesterday as well, but i wasn't sure what mods i could end up rolling.
From what i gathered, im at:
Prefix-
Flat phys min/max
Local Physical Dmg +% / Local Accuracy Rating
Local Physical Dmg +%
Suffix-
Local attack speed %
none
none
So at best, i could get lifegain on hit (not %), strength, some resist or more stun duration?

Am I right or did i miss something?
The accuracy you got is too high to be only from a hybrid , so you either don't got the hybrid roll , or you got both the + accuracy suffix AND the hybrid roll. If you exalt it once you can test this by trying to vendor it. If after exalting you still don't get an augmentation from the vendor , you know hybrid physical/accuracy is still an option
