[1.0.4]Scion - Incinerate Tank - Mind over Matter, EB, almost Max Block | Facetank a lot of stuff
Hmm, I took another approach and kept Cybil's Paw, but tried to dump Life Leech for a Fire Penetration gem, it should be very strong in those pesky fire resistance maps.
But, I'm not sure Cybil's Paw Life on Hit is good enough for single target bosses with strong modifiers (more damage/reduced player resistance, etc.). Really, I would like to drop mana/life leech gems and go for a full DPS gettup, maybe with clarity/discipline and Leech on Tempest Shield instead. The problem seems to be when I add the other gems, the mana multiplier gets to high. Having a slightly higher cast speed, than I currently have should be enough to drop Life Leech, maybe? The life on hit is just... Slightly not enough, and map bosses are not getting any stronger than they are now, hehe. Going to try an Increased Cast Speed gem.
Spoiler
I should get some more quality gems, I figure that is what will give the most bangs for the bucks, right now. At least I have reached the point where it gets hard to die. Anyone have tried this build in PvP, seems the only thing it's capable of dying to is Trap Throwers (no block) and the clever melee guys with a Viper Strike just for me. But, when people figure out they die from hitting me, I can't ever catch them if they just run away. What's some good "Stop! Don't you dare move"-tech? just drop life leech. (and manaleech if you can)
Put some dps gem, like fire pen/faster casting/added chaos. Cybil's give plenty of life on spell-hit.

" i think faster casting also improves life gain on hit more ticks = more life gain on hit with a perfect cybill and gmp, you get 40 life per tick on single target more mobs= more life gain
Excellent solo build, but horrible for party play.
I've played your build up to level 77 (nearly 78)and the only complaint, or con to the build really, is that this build literally has horrible dps in a full party. I'm sure there is a way to improve on this, but atm I have no idea. I'm looking through the skill tree and have changed a few things but I still can't squeeze out any more dps than the default skill tree/setup gives. What's everybody else's thoughts on party play with this build?
Hello guys,
a few questions about this build: 1). Is it still maintained? I was that anders did not play / post anything recently. 2). seams more than a bit gear dependent in the way that, in order to get high spell block chance one needs rainbow strides/rathpith/anvil. This would be ~6 ex on Domination (add 3 ex for 5L lightning coil). I am focusing on spell block because it will be impossible (IMO, but feel free to correct me) to do the higher level maps without a high spell block (Villa?). 3). I got a grand total of 2 ex and I'm looking for a build that will allow me to solo 70+ maps. I don't play in party. Is this build for me? Thank you.
I'm at 76 now and so far spell block is not a must if you have high resists, it helps a lot sure, but it's not nescessary. I can pretty much facetank everything as long as I dont stop casting Incinerate, the only annoying thing is those Resist Fire/Elemental resisant mobs as Flammability seems to have very little effect.

are you able to tank the Villa boss without spell block?

Don't the Villa-boss bypass block anyway with his traps? Or did they just hit that hard.
