[1.0.4]Scion - Incinerate Tank - Mind over Matter, EB, almost Max Block | Facetank a lot of stuff
By the way - update to my post above - I swapped out a level 16 faster projectiles and put in a level 20 added chaos - it bumped my DPS from 1049 to 1494 - HUGE increase...and that's on a 5 link lightning coil....can't seem to get the 6L - have already spent over a 1000 fusings on it, what a pita.

Added chaos is the single biggest dps increase for incinerate. It accounts for about 35% of my dps.

What do followers of this thread think is the better roll for a Cybil's Paw?
10% Cast Speed 8 Life on Spell Hit vs. 12% Cast Speed 7 Life on Spell Hit I've been monitoring Cybil's for a few days and have yet to see a perfect 12/8. It seems most of us will have to settle for a 10/8 or 12/7. So, which is better?
why dont you go to iron reflexes in the skill tree? it seems to go hand in hand with unwavering stance, or is it just too bad for the points it takes.?
im sorry if i missed the explanation to this, or if its just dumb thinking. thanks ahead =]
As far as Cybils go, id favor the life over cast speed.
For iron reflexes you need to look at how much armor it will give you. If I went IR right now, it would take about 6 points to get to and only offer me 600 armor. Id rather get another 50% life gain from all those life nodes around us. |

First post here, running this build as my first "proper build" and really getting to like it.
However I feel like I'm taking additional damage when equipping Lightning Coil, how much lightning resistance are you supposed to have for it to start mitigating? Same problem as the poster above with Cybil's paw, I got two: One with max Speed and one with max Life Gain. Guess I'll just keep looking for the perfect claw. I haven't put the point in Unwavering Stance, my gear gives me 25% evasion. And I'm just barely surviving, so I'm kind scared to lose the evasion. But, nearing the end of merciless I'm getting stunned more often, and should probably get it now. A thing I found to be helpful: Whirling Blades (lvl 1, unlinked) is incredibly useful if you can't support a proper Lightning Warp. It moves very quickly and flies right over monsters blocking the way. Even if you don't have attack speed to make it go crazy, it's still okay. Also I always carry around a cheap Stone of Lazhwar that gives 50% spell block. Figure it is really handy until you get Rathpith Globe. As the anvil don't do that much against spells, yet. hello,
During the leveling until now i use that : I'm currently level 75, and i still using it to reach the cap block at 78 with the anvil. And it's very helpful for the leveling ! I have expect to change it at the level 79 when i have all my block point in the passive tree. PS : Sorry if my english is a little bit bad
" Why not spend 3 points and actually go down and get Mind over Matter? then it would be easier to get a better armor? and it's 30% instead of 10% just curious |
|
" As a FYI, a 12/8 claw is for sale on Domination (39 mana too, -1 from a perfect roll on all stats), but it has hit ~16 chaos and I doubt it's going to slow down any time soon as these incinerate builds increase in popularity. Most of us poor folk will probably settle for 10/8 and then try for 12/8 as a luxury some day. It just doesn't seem worth it when you can get a 10/8 for 2-3 chaos. 14+ additional chaos for 2% cast speed? That's a lot of other armor upgrades you could buy that will have a much bigger overall impact on your character. |
