I was wondering how viable non-crit trapper is, when you are at the point of moving to endgame maps? Are you able to solo them with decent speed or farm untill you have enough funds to switch crit build? What is the clear speed difference between the two? And lastly do you NEED lvl 20traps and 5-link before entering 70+maps? :) Really appreciate your guide and hope you keep up the good work!

First off, I'd like to admit I'm fairly new to the game and even newer to trap builds. In general, I've only been playing a total of 2 months. However, I've been roughly following your non-crit build and would like to thank you for all the information you've provided thus far.
As my currency is very minimal, I just bought my first major piece in a 5L Carcass Jack, I am not at liberty to experiment with certain ideas. Ideally, in the near future, I'll be transitioning into the crit build and, as such, I've been thinking about certain aspects.
Namely, I've been trying to determine if your current method of shock stacking is the most efficient. According to your crit build section, you have LT with ele prolif, added lightning, and multi trap.
Would it be more efficient to use Storm Call, trap, multi trap, ele prolif?
Now, LT with an added lightning yields more damage than Storm Call at level 20, but for shock stacking purposes would Storm Call be a better fit?
The reason I ask, Storm Call gains 4% increased crit chance per 1% quality. At 20% quality you'd be looking at 80% more crit chance on that base 4% or basically 7.2% crit chance on SC.
However, with a 20% quality added Lightning, you're looking at an additional 10% increased chance to shock.
So I guess the real question is, would a base 3.2% increased chance to crit outweigh 10% increased "chance" to shock?
Thanks in advance

I recently did a re-spec on my Scion (currently at level 66) for this build. I've been trying a few adjustments, and this one in particular seems to be working really well:
I replaced Concentrated Effect with Added Lightning Damage for a couple of reasons:
• Concentrated Effect reduces not only the radius of Fire Trap's initial explosion and burning ground effect, but also the trap's trigger radius. This was a slight nuisance for me, as I could lob a Fire Trap into a pack of monsters and many of them were able to simply walk around it.
• Although swapping Concentrated Effect for Added Lightning Damage will slightly lower Fire Trap's tooltip DPS, it (from what I've observed) actually adds a significant amount of damage in the form of burning DoT. With an insane amount of crit multiplier, landing a crit with Fire Trap will proliferate not only ignite's burning damage, but also shock, which translates into 30% more burning damage.
With that said, if you're able to land 3 crits in a row with Fire Trap: the first shock will give 30% more damage to the next Fire Trap, resulting in an even higher amount of burning damage. But that second Fire Trap also crits and leaves another shock stack for 60% more damage, applying to the third Fire Trap which, after being boosted by the previous traps, deals 60% more damage on the initial explosion, then delivers a third shock stack, increasing the final burning damage by 90%. With the Fire Penetration support gem and the High Explosives notable, even bosses with high elemental resistance will melt from multi-crit-shock Fire Trap.
Sorry if my explanation and wording on that last paragraph was a bit difficult to understand, but hopefully you get the jist of it. I'd like to see Pohx try this out as well, as I'm still not at a high enough level to test how this would all scale with the new DoT passive groups, Entropy and Growth and Decay.

Non Crit Trapper is made for soloing and building up currency, you should have no problem doing literally any map mods aside from extreme death maps with them.
I was soloing 76 maps with ease on my old non Crit Trapper with a 5L carc
Just test your damage to see if you need a 5Link, I would HIGHLY Recommend grabbing a 5L though
You won't get level 20 gems till around 86-88 so you should be fine with level 19's

Any Skill Used with the Support Gem " Trap " Has a base cooldown of 4 Seconds Unless they have changed it.
Lightning TRAP itself has a base cooldown of 2 Seconds, I used it for utlity/damage/Filler/Shock Stacking.
The Most Effective Method by far for shock stacking would be using Shock Nova Which is what the party play crit trapper will switch to

Conc effect adds an absolute INSANE Amount of damage to fire trap, it's pretty much 100% Required once you get some spellpower/ele dmg or fire damage, once Imgur starts to work you'll see the difference on Conc effect and Non Conc effect on a 5L
I understand your reasoning for the shock stacking. However, you can just use a lightning based skill to shock stack if you really wanted to, trying to land 3 Crits in a row on your fire trap is highly unlikely, even if you're using multi trap, each trap itself in the multi trap has it's own separate crit roll.
I never look at the actual tooltip for Damage, look at the actual Damage you loose on the skill.
