" I really don't know what you want me to tell you, either you manage to get upgrades from players or you have to find your own gear, regardless you need hp on at least 80% of your gear. Doesn't matter if it's HC or SC Interact with the community, browse forums, check trade chans, it's not that hard to find gear once you understand what you need to upgrade. Hi guys, have you ever thought about using the unique Aurumvorax basket rapier?
I know it has some drawbacks but as a trapper you don´t care about the little phys. damage and since you have a lot of resists on it you can counter the reduced rarity with gold rings and amulett. I used it through all cruel and had always max. resists, more than 80% rarity and did a lot of damage. |

I started on Nemesis 2 weeks ago and my first trapper died to Kraityn Cruel because for some reason I thought it'd be a good idea to join a group and then try and kill him without IR and I literally had 99 armor and like 1k evasion. Pretty much got instagibbed when he flicker striked.
Remade the character two days later and I'm now 71 with the current gear below. Spent maybe about 50 chaos give or take for about half the pieces over the course of a week and I am working on trying to 6 socket the chest. Maybe overpaid on some pieces but I didn't really care as I had to cap my resists with a decent amount of life. Currently sit at 3k life and 7.4k armor with Grace on. The only things that really scare me are hasted lmp/extra damage fire dogs, stormherald mobs in closed quarters especially, charging rhoas/blackguards which 90% of the time me or the mobs desync and/or I get stunned, fractured devourers, Piety/Dominus. Any suggestions on what to upgrade next? I realize the links on my boots are not optimal since it already gives EK trap and I don't need to put another trap gem there, but I have a seperate pair of 30 movement speed/life boots when I fuse the sockets on those and you can ignore the gems on the shield as they're just there for leveling up atm (going to put the coldsnap/trap/prolif combo in there) until the chest has the right amount of sockets/links for me to optimize everything.

May I ask you if this build viable on standard league? In case, which items/skillpoint should I change?

" Doesn't matter what league you're in, but standard league prices are vastly different than what I've seen in Nemesis. I started with nothing 2 weeks ago and now I have relatively decent gear from trading orbs and items. I am pretty lazy when it comes to bartering and hate the trading probably as much as you, but you need to make small and cheap trades and amass currency that way. You need to make a shop thread and try to sell the items you'd vendor for like an alc or a chaos. Before I never bothered with a shop and would vendor things I could probably have easily gotten a chaos or two for. Depending on luck is not something you can do. " Thanks, I'll try and find something with higher spell damage. I can actually run Arctic Armor with my current gear and be fine on mana regen. It's only a level 6 AA though, so I suppose when my regen is higher I can level it more. |

So, I've been trying to keep lightning trap in the build, but it feels very lackluster around cruel~merciless. I wanted to make it a shock stacking machine, but I'm not quite sure how to go about doing that. I've considered moving to static blows, but if I do that I lose out on some trapper nodes and crit nodes from the shadow tree. I'm thinking of linking lightning trap with elemental prolif, lightning pen, and either increased crit strikes or added lightning damage (not sure which is better for shock stacking). What do you guys think?

Okay, I think I finally got things pretty good. I need advice on what to aim for at this point:
I'm level 61 and following the skill tree for the most part but shot up to EB before getting Mind over Matter because I was hurting for mana. |
