Hi great build!!

Would this build be viable In the Invasions League.

I was really looking for a ranged tanky dps.

Also would double strike be more viable thank heavy strike for single target dps ie bosses/ rares?

Would +20% ST make a big difference?

Is the new Vaal Spectral Throw any good?

Really interested!! Thanks!!

its a build made for HC/HC ladders

use any single target u want to i prefer ds

20q does make a difference its 10% attack speed

vaal st is ok it interesting, i dont have one myself yet so... i dont know really

I'm slightly confused by the Aura link's description compared to your gear. You say to run max level Clarity as well as Discipline/Grace/Hatred. However, you seem to be running Haste, Purity of Elements and level 4 Clarity.

What auras would you say are overall the most effective?

i was prolly in a party that had the ones i normally run so i use some other auras.. but for normal play use max clarity, andyour choice of disc, hatred, grace depending on situation.

After the patch I decided to do something different with my level 64 Scion and found this post. Had 79 points to play with so got pretty far into the tree, although I've tweaked it here and there for my needs. That is what is so great about the build though; you don't need to stay to specifics and can reach out to more life, mana, resists, regen, dmg as needed since many are very close the to core tree.

Just hit level 67 last night doing docks. The only thing there that gives me trouble is the voidbearers because my resists suck right now :) Even with elements, they are sub 50s so I just hit and run them. Probably going to take the 18% resists at Scion for now.

I currently run purity of elements + haste which leaves a bit less than 200 mana for skills. I decided to use the following:

Lightning strike > multistrike > inc. crit strike > ele prolif (~3.2k dps; shocks inc dmg)
ground slam > multistrike > melee splash > LGoH > melee phy dmg (~3k dps)
spectral throw > LGoH > faster atks > LMP > phys proj atk dmg(5L) > faster projectiles(6L)
CwDT > enduring cry > immortal call > molten shell

I only have spectral in a 4L right now. Maybe throw in a faster attacks when I get a 6L weapon for ground slam.

I'm not running with much life on my gear. Most of it I had sitting in the bank from races or drops. Did end up picking up 2 new items - Marohi Erqi (ground slam) and Thunderfist mitts (lightning strike). Still, didn't need them with this build, but I had a concept for skills and they fit.

Yet another great thing about the build is you don't need specific gear. Even with very little life on my gear I still have 2245 life, 248 ES, and 869 mana - looking forward to trying out Eldritch Battery + MoM; maybe around level 75ish.

Great build; simple to use and versatile. Awesome work!

Hi dbum.

Thanks for this guide and escpecially the recurrent answers!

Just wanted to point out that on page 1 in your guide under currend gear is only the text "lvling crap i have found..."

Although you have a few sentences under "gear to look for", I really liked, just to look at your current gear/gems/links (to compare etc.)

Did you remove it on purpose, because it was responsible for confusion (i.e. when you switched gems in party)?

Thanks in advance. :)

That is why I made this build. The versatility for diff leagues for more dmg or more life/dmg mitigation is great!

For the void bearers u can slap on AA and take 0 dmg from them at the right lvl of AA. But you will need sufficient mana regen to run it.

At lvl 75 you should have all the mana regen eb mom. run high lvl AA with clarity and disc and you will be surprised at the amount of face tanking and dmg u can take

Ty for the kind words! Glad you are enjoying the build

I tested out AA last night and have the mana to run it... standing still :) Do you turn it off while moving or just have enough mana regen for it while moving as well?

I'm leveling up an AA , but it's only like level 7 currently.

yes by the end game you should have the mana regen to run it full time and never turn it off
IGN @Dbum
is viable with duelist, this build?
Trying out your build and I'm in sort of a shitty spot so far, I don't have enough mana regen to keep AA on and I'm having to miss out on a bunch of life and EV nodes to get over to Soul Drinker and Eldritch Battery. Not just that but my mana pool is really hurting too so I can only really run clarity on its own. Very frustrating. This hopefull fixes itself once I've got soul drinker and can start taking the mana/life nodes. Maybe even once I've got more levels on Reduced Mana.

My current gear just to see if I'm missing anything in particular:
Spoiler

edit: so I got the 2% leech in the tree and the first life/mana node. Taking first steps into 66 maps my clear speed is really bad, is that just because of my weapon or because I'm not using a rustic sash and ias gloves?

Can you post ST DPS?
IGN: Horeg
I don't get how this works to tank stuff. Whenever I take heavy damage I'm completely out of mana so I can't eaven use ST to leech anything back..
