Kripp's 2H Phys Sword Spectral Thrower

As far as i'm losing interest in this build (were in top 30 for a while, crumbling back to top 100), or mostly done 100lvl tweaking mindstorm.
And yes, this is showoff
4,8k hp
~43,5k dps 5L double strike.
~6,7 dps 4L ST
Hard overcap on lightning (~70% overcap), minor problems with cold res (eleweakness), medium problems fire res (50%) under eleweak.
Looking for adding ~200 mana to my overall manapool so i can totally ignore my double strike mana cost under 3 auras.

I was really looking some discussion like this. This will be a wall of text by noob.

First, I have to say it's unfortunate that so many sensible and thinking players are playing softcore since builds can't be compared. I was shocked how good weapons you had and how poor your rest gear is in life-wise but that's how softcore works. You don't have to be balanced in there and it's fine. Your priority is always to maximize dps.

I ripped my first ST-character on lvl84 on Nemesis into corruption blood which I didn't pay attention. I have been angry about that since that character was going insanity in Nemesis. I started from super tanky 2h build from forums and didn't think defence is enought with those adjustments so I took parts from Ziggy's build especially Arctic Armor which fit just amazingly. Character ended just to drain damage without pain.

Now, I started another character which based on Etup's ST-ranger. I am on level 75 now and somehow my character's development has stopped. I don't see any defensive abilities coming on, just slighly more life and stacking dps. The problem is that I feel I am dying very easily. if I were made Scion, I could go to EB+MoM+AA build again with orbs and gear chances but from Ranger tree that's too far away.

Generally my own fault to go such a class cannon if I am not even playing character right. I should be playing mostly in groups but ultimately even Etup changed build since he can't raise dps anymore without probably dying.

I have now 5.1k life on lvl75 which is fine. The problem is how much I keep taking damage even the resistances are capped and I got about 18.3k armor with grace/determination on. I understand that I should get more chaos resistance since I take most big punches from there.

1) What kind of CwDT setup have u found most promising? Anyone running two gems?
-I run two CwDT. First gem lvl6 supporting lvl8 Enduring Cry, level 7 Immortal Cry and lvl10 Molten Shell. I'd say this set is working pretty well!
-Second CwDT is on lvl13 supporting lvl13 immortal call and x-level Molten Shell and x-level Temporal Chains. x-levels because I just set this up.

I had Enfeeble but after upgrading gear I can't have high level int gems anymore which hurts since I think Enfeeble is superior to Temporal Chains. How about Warlord's Mark that someone mentioned?

I don't honestly know how to improve this build the way I like tankish and resilient. +life and +armor are not just enought for me since they are easily going down.
-I would say MoM+EB+AA are too far
-I thought about running more auras than two but it commits way too much after testing a little bit

The last option might be something I will investigate next. That is to go 1h+shield build in some point and get block nodes. I might go this between lvl85-90. The downside is that I am not sure yet how can I keep decent dps up and it will be relatively expensive since need at least some uniques from top.

Phew, had so much more to speculate but I will save u from that.

What are my options before I reep with my class cannon and go to softcore? :)
I honestly feel this was wrong build to do just now and I trapped myself bc copied something I didn't look into before. ST is only amazing in the end game IF other build is amazing!

EDIT: Some notes:
-Low level enfeeble (like 5) is probably better than higher level Temporal Chain. The effect just sounds so much better to me.
-Changed out low level immortal call replacing with Decoy Totem which pops up pretty early. Then two Enduring cries will keep monsters busy and if I get lot of dmg, leveled immortal call will give some time to recover. Feels pretty damn good on lvl68 maps at least solo. I am very unsure about the best curse tho...Enfeeble (low lvl), Temporal or warlord?

Interesting How close the ranger builds are, mine slightly different in the fact that i took most of the major 1% hp regen nodes that everyone else is missing, heart of oak & the 1% at duelist tree, with these nodes and nothing really special gear im at 4700HP, regen 150hp sec which allows me to spam my aoe & main attacks without a life leech/gain gem in the chains.
For CWDT i was doing a 4l w/ cry, call, increased duration but i found that the call would never proc exactly when i needed it to so i switched to: Cwdt > cry >rejuv totem >reduced mana
Seems to be much better, altho i do want to test working molten shell back in aswell

Curses: i've been using enfeeble and chains. chains is good when a mob is not on top of you.
When you fighting a boss enfeeble>chains (Just switched out my dual curse boots to gain +300 hp ;D)

Warlords mark doesnt seem that great, especially since im gaining endurance charges from my cwdt setup and it does nothing to kill mobs quicker

Clears very well lvl68 maps solo but still needs extra def. Probably too low chaos res too.



Some notes: Sword is very good but not so insane that I thought since elemental damage scales so poorly. Some gems are still in leveling stage.

Starkonja's Head is probably undervalued. Bought +100 to max life for 5c which is standard price. Also gives a big dmg boost. Is also easily replaced by resistance head if needed.

So what's the overall gear I should aim for? Going to respec my ranger into this build and I'm still a novice. Is it dex/str/armor/life/res/phys/lifeleech based??

Also, what other gems do I use? What curse/defensive?

Just respecced my ranger and damn, such a difference. Loving this game again, was so frustrating before. Was level 75 and couldn't even solo maps. Unfortunately stuck with a Mace atm but hoping to get a nice sword soon :)!

Running this build too at the moment....level 80. 5k hp...7k armor, 75 allres 50 chaos... Go over cap with flasks i dont run hp just 5 quicksilver with remove bleed, elemental increase, remove frozen...etc. 35k doublestrike, 7k st... Dont use blood majic but life leech gems have 4 percent mana leech so i dont need the blood...run hatred and clarity never run out of mana, molten and everytung else they list in cast on hit.... Its a fun build

I dont know that is better for me to do now, becous than t my first char who brakes Cruel and go to Merceles.

Im have 2060 HP, 2400 DPS by DS, and 640 DPS by ST.

and im farm The Ledge now, but nothing intresting was drop yet. I try use some "Orb of chance" but thats no help.

Can u give me advice than to do? That nodes pick next, that location farm, etc.

Going to play this ones again, at the new hardcore league. Liked it very much back days.

Is this build still feasible with the new tree?
