Client keeps disconnecting (An unexpected disconnection has occured)

I got the same problem, on every gateway! I've never had these problems on other games.
I'm on a uni campus VPN connection (in Belgium).

Hope this gets solved! (it sucks to get kicked every 10 seconds to a few minutes..)

Just wanted to post an update to anyone watching this thread. Using the Steam version which allows me to pick the Gateway, I said F it and tried Europe instead of America gateway and I managed to stay in-game for about 5 minutes! :D It's not much but it's much more than before (1-60 seconds). Managed to actually level my Scion to level 3 lol...

Oh well, I was hoping it'd be a permanent fix but it looks like it still disconnects on the EU gateway, just takes a tiny bit longer.

EDIT: Okay so I tested all four gateways. On Europe I consistently stay connected for 1-3 minutes. On America, Singapore and Australia, less than one minute. This is very interesting... If we could figure out what the difference is between these connections maybe the root cause can be identified?

If both are on the same network, wouldn't this indicate a driver issue?

Thanks for the response! I've tried updating all of my drivers but the problem persists. Any suggestions on what else I could try?

i just started having this exact same issue as of 10/26/2013

while playing i will randomly get kicked to login screen within a few minutes. most games have at least a tech reply to this, not sure why ggg has ignored it so far.

the lame part about this situation is that i just was able to convince a few friends to DL it. they seem to be frustrated now lol because we can't play and i dc every couple minutes. anyways hope it's fixed as well as the random dysync. both make this game practically unplayable.

Same problem here - before Release, I got disconnected exactly twice over several months of playing. Now I'm getting disconnected randomly after a few minutes (but not always). The ISP is the same, the drivers are the same, the computer is the same.

Same exact problem. Downloaded the game on official release. Played up to about level 15 then the disconnects started coming in. Its not my computer or internet connection as i do not have lag or get disconnects on other games i play. In game i'm getting kicked from every 1-10 minutes of playing. I hope the issue gets resolved. I'm liking the game and all but its very frustrating and ends up making me stop playing after several disconnects.

I still have this problem, im getting kicked almost every time I revisit home (encampments) and then I get the message back at the menu 'unexpected disconnection has occurred'.
