I've had a mini re-spec and took out RT - seems ok so far, took a paper dps hit, but am still hitting thing ok, May need to switch to swords for the accuracy at some point. I'm running without RT (and using swords). It's only bad if I'm -2 or worse in a zone.

Heavy strike is a fine single-target skill, but dual strike hits faster and doesn't have knockback. I use dual strike + multistrike + leech + endurance charge on stun. I used to run melee splash with it, but EOS is better for generating charges.

Enduring + molten + warlord's is great on the new CODT gem. I stack up endurance charges and them blow them on immortal call.

Faster projectiles is good for sniping, but the standard throws appear to hit more often since they tumble/dance at medium range.

Although I'm generally following Iggy's build, I traveled east on Skildrasil from the scion node for the mana and aura boosts, since I wanted to run two auras. I run hatred and haste. Hatred has a huge DPS increase, 1000 at my level, and haste makes everything better.

High 70s build, assuming you're planning on using a BM gem

Learn the tree, specifically the keystones.

I'm not talking about me. I'm talking about one of the many people that picked this game up only last week as it was just released.

18 pages deep and no one has posted "hey whats RT mean" so I think most people are pretty okay. thanks though for the concern
