Iggy's Spectral Throw Build! Combines the best of ALL worlds. [SC/HC]

I'm wondering if anyone has experimented with running two auras with clarity without using a BM gem? Like in theory having "just enough" mana to cast a mid level curse and enough mana regen rate to spam your needed skills? I'm wondering because I'm tempted to run up left side of tree for reduced reserve but if anyone has tried I'd like to know what they think/how its working for them. Btw I was thinking anger/hatred (I think wrath requires high int not sure though). Thanks for input!
When planning the passive tree I came across the question which damage nodes to take. What would you suggest, are the projectile nodes at the Duelist worth to take, or is physical 2h-damage at Templar or even the ones close to the Marauder start the better choice?
If I stick to 2h, projectile and 2h-physical should have the same effect on spectral throw, or am I wrong? Or is 2h-dmg to be preferred as it scales additional single target skills like heavy or double strike?

I'm planning on experimenting with projectile weakness curse on hit, if that works out I'll post results here

Based on how "Curse on hit" works I wont be able to use it effectively without a 6L unless I add a support skill just to get the cast out, which is worse than just casting the curse manually..

I didn't realize your "curse on hit", your curse, and the skill you're hitting with have to be linked for 'curse on hit' to go off. I had thought it would work like Asenath's gentle touch, and would only require 2 links to function.. lol nope

One thing I didn't like about this build is the use of resolute technique. Crit-based builds have a lot of possibilities in the game now that cast on crit gem is available. I asked people whether this statement is true: If one ST misses an enemy, all subsequent ST will miss the enemies - and there is not even a single person who can attest to it. Are you sure ST works this way? Because if it doesn't, then there is no point in taking Resolute Technique at all.

To make this work you have to link the cast on crit gem and whatever spell gem you want to cast... to your main attack. Are you really going to give up 2 gem links on your main attack for this?

Let me know how this works out for you. I don't think it will work out very well.

The only thing I don't agree with is using something besides a single spec throw to take on boss mobs. Without GMP or LMP st is incredibly awesome for killing bosses, I don't see a reason you'd need anything else. I run a single/triple version of it, and I killed piety in cruel before she could even change forms with the single version of it.

This has been on my mind since day 1 and been bugging me for 40 levels. Before I got LMP, ST killed well, especially against a single target. After LMP, ST was better at larger mobs, a bit slower on single target, but I'd swear my LMP ST kills single targets just as fast or faster than Heavy Strike (which I really need to swap to Double; acquired Heavy first; been too lazy to switch).

So... I think I will try single target ST and see how it works. And if doesn't, it will be the perfect opportunity to finally get around to equipping Double Strike.
Currently level 31 on this build basically and using it in nemesis league, thus I've filled the hp ring near to scion start and planning on getting more afterwards. This is my end build currently:

As for people asking if to use single target spectral or not - definitely use LMP on it and for single target attacks multistrike + double strike + faster attacks/ele dmg etc is a total killer, bosses die too fast that it isn't even funny anymore.
Something's pretty cool that i heard of is that you put Cast on Crit gem + Cold Snap.
It will help you freeze a lot of things along the way easily.

But even with as 6 link, i wouln't put that with my Spectral Throw, the lost of 2 sockets is too bad for me.

You can probably try to do that on your single attack, for exemple Double Strike, you'll lose some attack damage for almost perma freeze the mini boss that are freezable. But then again, you must do it on your weapon if it's a 2 hand, cause doing that on a 4 link helm for exemple, well the attack gem + these 2... well only 1 gem remain for your attack damage which is kinda bad.

What are other people using as curses, if any? My automatic choice was Projectile Weakness, as hey, it's a projectile. But number of the advantages of the curse are lost with this build, we always pierce anyway, and with resolute technique the evade chance is wasted (Unless I misunderstand the mechanic?) And I use heavy strike and leap slam too, for single target/mobility mainly, but I also like to mix things up. Would vulnerability be more useful? Or warlords mark, then maybe dropping life leech and/or some skill nodes? Or just a defensive curse?

Or would sticking to Projectile Weakness, but dropping resolute technique be worth a try? Have minimal crit chance, so not likely to help directly with DPS (And would cause my other melee to miss a lot) but would save a bunch of skill points.
My Level 58 Scion ATM

What do you think about The Blood Drinker? Is that 2% LL worth it? ATM I don't have Life on hit or LL atm at all and I'm doing fairly well on Merciless (so far). Ofc I'm constantly looking for a Life on hit/LL items but no luck so far.

I have already found Melee dmg taken trigger and GMP. I'm gonna level that GMP before I replace LMP and that trigger gem is damn useful.

Anyone experiment with auras yet? I think its 16% on the large node circle on left so would put two %60 auras around %50 manager reserve. Top it off with a reduced mana gem and a low level clarity and a few mana regen nodes should be viable yes? Keeping clarity mid level of course as to not eat up rest of mana pool. Thoughts?
