Download the release patch and play it for a few days and tell me then how bad legacy items really are.

This thread shouldn't have been made before the patch hits but a few days after, no problem for me if the legacy items will be indeed a bad thing but its too early to judge.

Your comment was way off topic. Please read the OP from start to finish. This is a serious matter, and there is no room for yahoos or people who do not want to act like adults. I respect everyone despite the vote they cast; however, I expect them to follow the rules just as I have to follow the rules.

A lot of people worked hard to get those items and since I don't have any of them, I agree if they're all being nerfed but not if they're being removed.

I agree, Don't want to see what happen to POE like what happen to Diablo 2

I.E 08 Valks and Non Requirement SOJS going for 100s of US Dollars.

With that the Uber Rich in Real life will start buying and feeding the RMT sites screwing this game over.

The items are not being removed. The older versions of the items will have a greater advantage over the newly modified versions. This will create an unfair playing field for people who play on certain leagues. That is what the thread is about.

Example item:



This item will retain its 1,000 life bonus; however, the newer ones that drop will be nerfed and only have 500 life. There are some other slight changes to the item, but the new changes will not make up for the loss of 500 flat hp bonus for some builds (should legacy items exist). Note: Despite me owning various legacy items, I am standing up for those who represent the vast majority. It's apparent to me that most people don't like the idea of legacy items. If you check my trade histories, you will see that I am also a man of numbers. I am OCD about certain things, but in this instance it turns out to be an advantage for me. I know it's impossible to get every single player of PoE to vote on this thread, but I have an eidetic memory. This is vastly different from someone with photographic memory. It has been a curse to me at times, but lately it has been a blessing to have this ability. I know what I know, and I will do my part as a leader... even if I am crucified for standing up for what is right.

I was talking to that HandsomeBear guy not you Azarius -.- If your divorced eyes can read better,Azarius,i am stating and defending my point of view wich is to agree with this petition,like yours,dafuq?? Okay i've lost credibility in OP's eyes/mind/both idk (since i'm one of the people voting YES for this petition and he butthurt jumps on me too lolz what a fail douch..) so i'll gtfo from this topic,i'm sure enough people will vote "agree" like me anyway.

okay, so what I finally arrived to is that you agree.

Definitely agree! If you're going to add meaningful PVP to this game, these items either should be hit by the nerf hammer or not allowed to be used at all (during PVP).
