I Cast Magic Missile! - Cantrip's Guide to Ethereal Knives

Having made this build to completion.. I gotta say I'm disappointed.
It just doesn't stand up to my other builds.

And I feel as though manually casting EK isn't the way to go. What I'm seeing is EK builds based on cast on critical, doing a TON more damage.
They seem to achieve this by linking Cast on Crit to two EK gems, then linking that combo to GMP ST, and duel wielding crit/spell daggers.

And I'm not sure, but I believe the EKs triggered by spectral throw's critical hits, can also crit, which..casts another EK? Which can crit..which.. you get the idea
The result is essentially an EK machine gun <- I feel this is the way to go.
Any thoughts?

Sorry you feel that way. Yes, without a doubt, CoC builds with EK do more damage with ok gear, but that's because CoC is broken, not for any other reason. EK is very viable, but it's nowhere near that level of broken cheese.

If you want to play a build that'll get nerfed soon when CoC dies a grisly death, go ahead. I feel it's cheesy, myself, and so does most everyone I know (even those that play them).

BTW, EK can't trigger another EK, they just trigger several dozen times per attack with that silly setup.

One other thing. Level 81 is NOT complete. Your gems aren't 20/20 yet, you don't have true end-game gear yet... This is where it starts to get good FAST. Sadly, most casters in this game work like that, but we do what we can.

Note to self: Don't fucking do Palace maps when you're at 99% :D

Torn between getting Rainbowstrides and yet more Block nodes, or retraining them all to Life? What do you guys think?

Block = in 3 levels total 50% Block / 45% Spell Block (78% Spell only with proper gear).
Life = Well, more life :D

It's not that what you have doesn't work, is that it can be 10 times better with minimal effort.

Got 1 more level and one more EK level, reset a bit my tree and here it goes

Way better DPS wise, but still lacking Mana. I'll probably get a new all ES shield with +ES +Mana and +Spell soon.

Not bad. I still think you don't benefit that much from THAT much Evasion, but it does look very good!

Jade flask of reflexes + Iron reflexes = better than granit flask with all that +% eva.
With my "no so good" gear, I get 22k armor with jade on.

Edit : just tagged my last domination totem, 1 challenge done !

Well, turns out Iron Will 20/20 adds more damage than Empower lvl 2, if you have some STR (and, it costs NOTHING). I switched to that for now. Empower level 3 is a whole other ball-game.

Bad idea. +8% Quality, or even +16%, is just +6% or +12% Projectile Damage. So like 1-2 nodes. Junk.
