" I am working on reworking my HC Ranger with the new build, the mana on kill nodes are interesting...but wouldn't help on any harder to kill packs or bosses. I am lvl 71 and so far this is what I have worked out to get as close to what I had before.

Well I set all my passives but I realized that I forgot to get Master Fletcher. I would have to try and do some kind of comparison but right now I have close to the same DMG I did previously to 10.2, but have about 80 less HP (think I didn't take 1 HP node) and I didn't take one of the cold resist nodes so I am not maxed on cold resist right now.
I am guessing master fletcher would significantly up my dmg right now but I think I won't waste a respect point (would probably need to lose HP) to get it. I will just need to try and lvl :) Below is my current tree.

I feel like cypher, why oh why didn't i respec elemental. I enjoy phys ranger, but ugh trying to solo maps is becoming frustrating kite, kite, kite fuck no room left. Oh this unique boss flickers and viper strikes can't kite or facetank. Granted some of my failures are mine some are desync. My damage feels low, my survivability feels like a wet noodle.
My gear I'm resist capped, nearly every piece has HP my bow is shit and i've been trying to get lucky w/ an alch and trying to roll lioneye's w/ every imperial i pick up. I'm trying to tough it out, but atm i'm pretty much solo player and solo'ing maps atm is frustrating. |

This could well have been brought up earlier in the 67 pages, I haven't gone through all of them. I'm using a build that was more or less based on this for my HC ranger and it's working out quite satisfactorily, if not perfectly.
I'm wondering if there's any good (passable) physical alternatives to frenzy because 1) I'm just not a huge fan of the skill and 2) it seems that by skipping frenzy we can free up multiple tree points to run after other stuff (all the frenzy nodes, benefits on frenzy nodes, and nodes required to reach those - they add up). Frenzy obviously has great benefits once you've specced it though, so I'm skeptical that a decent alternative is around. Has anyone found tried one though? I'm not a big fan of skills I need to charge up and keep charged to get the most out of. Off Topic, thanks for the guide. Ranger was my first character in PoE and the tree was really really overwhelming when I started. I can make my own way through it now, but this helped sort stuff out for me very much at the time. |

" Hmm, some strange choices there... 1. Spending 2 points on 2x10 DEX just to get Golem's blood while not taking HP nodes right past it, which are 3 points for 28% rather than 3 for 24% right below Reflexes notable 2. You are just 2 points away from Berserking, why not pick it? If I go to Golem's blood I would surely pick Berserking too. I can imagine that your attack speed is very high with Glare. Can it cause issues with mana? I will have slightly more mana in new build because I'm forced to take full Mana Flows cluster, which will grant me 4% extra mana. I thought this change skill reset would be rather straight forward, however, it worked out a lot more complicated. I had to make some tough choices with my 100 points available, ie. go/no-go for Berserking and Golem's Blood and whether or not to abandon Acceleration and Mental Acuity in Shadow tree. In the end, I went for a bit more sturdy/survival over DPS, which means ditched Acceleration in Shadow tree and ignored Golem's Blood+Berserking in favor of more HP, EV and 6% AR node. |

" Not even close. Phys reflect is mitigated by Armour, which mitigates less and less the bigger the hit. Phys build = big crits = VERY low % mitigated by armour = 1 shot many times. Ele reflect is mitigated by our resist, which reduces the same % no matter the damage. But this is a Phys build thread, and that discussion belongs elsewhere :) IGN : Ericaa
