Saint Vitus: Physical crit ranger guide[Always Updated]

Just wanted to say I tested Blood Magic on Frenzy and loved it. Also tried spell totem w/ skellies for when shit gets crazy and it help a lot. I tried Frenzy Dance Boots and it does help w/ Survivability but lose 7.5% DPS (att speed reduction 5 charges x 3%; more if you have more than that) so I decided not to but if you're having issues definite great defensive boots. I dont use PCoC but I use Voll's Protector. I haven't tried Chain because i have the Pierce keystone and my understanding is they're exclusive. Great tips. Thx.

do its hard in map 70 + if you dont have 6 link ? if i only have lioneyes do i will be able to make my way easy anyway ? What kind of armor should i use i really need to be sure of the build to if its hard in map . If the reflect hurt much ? because my ranger is 83 and i dont want to lost my respect for nothing thanks for the feedback
I was curious as to how you handle physical reflect?

I'm currently a lvl 83 Pure Physical Crit archer with okay gear and I ended up grabbing Vaal Pact to handle reflect in high level maps. I'm currently able to survive just about everything besides maps with Chaos dmg.

This is my current build at lvl 83 if anyone is interested:

and I am only using mediocre gear. I got a crap carnage heart so I have about 15% life leech.

It's working okay for me, I was just curious what other people are doing with the build.

While i'm here. Thought i'd share my variant i grabbed from a friend. So basically the only major difference is I run with a Voll's Protector and picked up an extra power charge from the bandits quest and one from the skill tree. So i have 5 Frenzy and 5 power charges.

Your build seems to have very low increased health/evasion. Do you have any problems surviving, or do you have a good survival gear?

Personally, I run a more balanced build between damage and defense (pretty much OP's build) and I still run like crazy if anything gets to hit me.

Overall playing in a party (with some tanks) works way better than playing solo for me.

Also I'd like to share my way of dealing with reflect (or fast bosses):

Puncture + Trap + Point Blank + Physical Projectile Attack Damage

I've managed to 1-hit lower map bosses with this, although it's damage is of course pretty random with a crit build. (It's also pretty effective in PvP :P)

Hey Stalker,
I updated my build. You are right on the evasion. It use to be 82%. As far as survival i run with 3.5k hp right now and im in position for more health nodes next. I revamped my passives and got up to 150% increased evasion rating w/o sacrifcing HP out of my old build or damage!!! The only thing that was bothering me before was reflect. Hear me out on this. YOu know what is the best way to mitigate reflect? About 84% hit at lvl 86 with more evasion. Since I pumped up my evasion and droppped accuracy on my rings going from 91% to 85%. I evade my own reflect almost 90% of the time feels like 100% of the time if I pop my Jade Flask which i do anyways on reflect. Also since my evade is a lot higher if a reflect does get through it normally doesnt crit anymore. just way more manageable. Sitting at about 16,500 evasion rating now w/ grace. Another change was to stop using Blood Magic (didnt like the link it used up) and i grabbed an Atziri's Foible Puau Ammy Unique. Mana problems solved. Tons more mana and tons of regen. I dropped crit multi/phys dmg dps stats on the old ammy but it was worth it.

Edit: Since last time i posted I stopped using Voll's and grabbed a pure evasion chest and no longer have mana issues since i was stacking it cause of the -50% from volls so I don't use Atziri's Foible anymore.

Evade Formula

Chance to Evade = 1 - Attacker's Accuracy / ( Attacker's Accuracy + (Defender's Evasion / 4) ^ 0.8 )

My gear

Flasks

What is your accuracy rating? and what is your evasion rating? You can calculate your chance to evade your own reflect. Might need to go lighter on accuracy or heavier on evasion. Also crit chance is a SECOND evasion roll! So more evasion means less chance to crit yourself on your own reflect! Currently w/o a flask i have a 31% chance to avoid my own reflect so also 31% chance that if it does go through, that it wont crit. So way more manageable. With a flask it goes up to like 35 or 36% I believe. Before I dropped accuracy (from 91% to 85%) on gear and gained more evasion my chance to evade my own reflect was ONLY 10%!!! No way! so only 10% chance it wouldn't crit!!! If it was a crit!

Chance to Evade

Chance to Evade = 1 - Attacker's Accuracy / ( Attacker's Accuracy + (Defender's Evasion / 4) ^ 0.8 )

I forgot to add this in on all my other previous posts. Remember that if you have the Ondar's Guile Keystone that whatever roll you get to evade your own projectile; it will be doubled ;) - enjoy rangers

You mention making sure that a mana leech gem is max % in the main post but you don't even say what it's used for, it's confusing...
