New support gems info.

For those too lazy to watch the video or would like to refer back to the info without having to dig through timestamps:

Cast On Melee Kill
Mana multiplier: 140%
Supported melee attacks have a 64% chance to cast supported spells on kill (at level 8)
You cannot cast supported skills directly

27% chance to cast supported spells when stunned (at level 3)

I assume CWDT lowers the damage threshold by 10 per level, eventually casting spells every 310 damage taken at level 20. CWS gaining 1% chance per level, COMK gaining 2% per level, reduced duration 1% per level.

Hopefully there will also be a support gem that applies supported curses on hit with any form of damage, or perhaps turn curses into an aura, cause I'm real tired of always casting curses on every enemy I see.

This is what confuses me a little bit ...

I can link TempChains on CastWhenStunned, but can no longer use the same gem for manual casting? I need a second TemChains.

I can link COMK Nova with DoubleStrike - Double Strike can trigger the nova, but Nova can not be used.


I think this pretty much excludes the possibility to have "Cast on Spell Hit" or "Cast on Spell Kill" - How would the game know which spell is the trigger and which the result ....
On the other hand I can see "Cast on Ranged Hit/Kill"

i think that it will work seperately.Like if you have something linked into a trigger gem,a second active skill gem of same type cant be used

for two linked spells (Arc triggering Spark for example, or Spark triggering FrostNova, ...) which would put Spells far above Ranged or Melee.

Edit: Oh, I reread your statement and read your "type". That would make sens to have spells trigger "ranged" or "Procetile" (probably not projectile - Spark and EK could be so much fun with Chain LOL)

You'd still have to cast fast enough but supposedly yes, as neither are a 'less' modifier. It'd only mean you can ignore your characters movespeed though.

For instant teleport you need high Movement speed, since it calculates the travel time with your movementspeed.

Two of the same skill would both mean that both skills are supported, meaning you wouldn't be able to ever cast a spell that's linked to a copy of the same spell. It'd just be mechanically impossible. A different spell would be possible however.

I think there's a good reason why they didn't allow for anything but melee kills to trigger spell casts however :)

well, we found the Kaom nerf now... having extra skills requires extra slots and Kaom become completely obsolet since you are lacking them even more.
