1.0 Passive Tree

I believe there could be room for inner-tree cross overs between the life nodes, es nodes, and eva nodes, with a new notable at the center of each. It would make inner-tree traveling more expensive, but wouldn't shut the option out entirely. It might be better to keep the center exclusive to Scion.

I believe this change is good though. It reinforces class disparity, and stops retarded things like CI/GR/VP from powercreeping ES into the dirt. This could mean really good things for some of the less-than-desirable balance changes over the past 8 months, including but not limited to a buff to CI and ES in general, if ES were to return to passive regen as its primary enabler.

Explain to me how a scion couldn't do what ES users do now?

This seems to be something similliar to what you got there.

They likely could, we'll see. Depends on how efficient the Scion is at branching in different directions while focusing on one build archetype. Whether or not they can, they will represent a minority of classes which have access to ES, which might open the door to undo at least some of the power creep nerfs done. Dunno, speculation's all we've got for now. If not, then the meta just shifts to a new class and life goes on :)

I like the idea for new skills tree. I think players must use more effort to cross over the tree that will make each job more unique themselves.

With the new tree, why would you ever roll a witch that isn't dual totem or summon? If you're ES based you've lost the ability to get close in (ghost reaver w/o vaal pact kills melee or short ranged skills like freezing pulse, you won't heal fast enough). Without vaal pact reflect becomes a huge problem as you have no way to mitigate. So the path of least resistance becomes dual totem (which you can reach w/o using the center of the tree) or summoner. Aren't these the builds that everyone bitches about because they can run junk gear and load up on MF? Doesn't this tree greatly encourage that if you roll a witch? Isn't that a bad thing?
I gave up on reading all the whining after a dozen or so pages, so somebody may have already pointed out the obvious already... If the Scion, at the centre of the tree, can reach everywhere, then there must be a path through the centre.

Sorry to tell you this My main character is Witch and I play CI and Unweavering stance but I can reach Ghost reaver on the right and Vall pact from under the tree too. Scion sure can reach everything from the middle but have to sacrifice points because if she want to move to outside zone of the tree she will use more nodes that Characters that already on the outside and use much more nodes than Characters that already near that node. I think that fair enough.

If you can connect center everytime as you want with other characters, what's the point is Scion for.

World is change everyday if you can't adapt you would be left behind.

Wait and see what the actual 1.0 skill tree looks like. If you cannot connect, roll a Scion.

It's up to GGG to decide whether or not the 6 existing classes will be allowed through the middle of the tree, but I can say this, anyone and everyone that has a build that needs to go through the middle of the tree is going to roll a Scion if the other 6 classes cannot go through the middle. Depending on the number of builds that currently go through the middle of the tree, the game may quickly become Path of Scion after the release of 1.0.
There needs to be some warp nodes on the skill tree with specific travel points so that navigating the skill tree and creating builds becomes interesting again.

In the Gamespot video, the paths that lead to Scion terminate at her starting position the way that paths the lead from anyone's starting position do, if you think about traveling them in reverse.

I thought I was more interesting when we all still started at the center and getting access to all of the skill gems available at that level for quest regards...

The current classes should just be characters we choose for flavor and the classes should be ENTIRELY up to us.
