[1.2] Rathik's EK build +40k DPS/52.3%Crit/+375% Multiplier. Anti-Reflect. "The Immortal Shuriken"

Ehh I can't edit my post...

Rathik2@ - Dont you think that my dps is pretty low?? Or this is normal and I will get higher number past lvl 55-60? Right now I dont even have 1k dps :E. I will try both gem (critical strike chance and power on charge critical).

But I'm thinking about cast on damage taken - Dont you think that for low lvl characters, it is not the best choice?(better to cast molten shell on character that have 2k HP then wait like 600dmg to trigger by gem)?

Do we should level CastOnDamage taken to particular level or what?

how important is armor? i'm thinking of converting from ek totem to non totem... but i have 6k es n 0 armor. will that be suicide vs phy reflect even if i have 20/20 life leech gem?

and does mind drinker node work for EK?

Running a very similar build, in preparation for the patch I have decided to change my CwDT links to the following:

Lv 1 Cast When Damage Taken
Lv 31 Gem Cap
Lv 3 Immortal Call
Lv 5 Enduring Cry
Lv 5 Enfeeble?


HIGH LEV 4 LINK
Lv 15 Cast When Damage
Lv 59 Gem Cap,

Lv 15 Enduring Cry
Lv 15 Immortal Call
Lv 16 Molten Shell

Everyone keeps askings thing that I haven't tested yet.

I say again, the build was viable before that CWDT gem.

You should worry more about mana regen and how to run a higher Arctic Armour.



EK is a spell, not an attack. Its written on the gem and on the Mind Drinker node.

CwDT will still work, you just will need to hard cap the Level Req's, not Gem Rank, or it will shut down the entire linked chain.

Currently my Rank 1 CwDT's are at Level 31, all the linked skills are significantly above that and so none of the chains will work as of tomorrow until I replace the linked gems with fresh one and make sure they don't level too much, too fast.
Will need to play a bit and see how much if any you'll need to level CwDT so that enough effect is generated by the linked gems to still work on maps and such.

A kick in the teeth to CwDT? Yes.
The sky is falling? Not even close.

Hmm I'm courious if buying one Icetomb Latticed Ringmail (4L, 2B,1G,1R) would be a good idea.
It has no hp, but give me a lot of armor(almost 500) and some nice energy shield along with big cold res(61%). Unfortunately there is no good armor till 60's...

I hate these questions. It has absolutely nothing to do with the build and just a question of general preference. Pick a fucking chest and use it, you're in your 40s.

Ok I have one question - How much mana/which noded I need to run with determination + hatred + clarity? Right now I have 1300 mana and 1 -5% mana reservation so I can't run with 3 auras...

With 1 node -5% reserved mana, when I will be able to use 3 auras? Right now I have 1400 mana and with reduced mana reservation on lvl 7(84%) and with just one node -5% mana reserved it is not possible to use 3 auras :/.

That information is in the guide. You kinda need to read it.
Also if you take your windows calculator and do some 3rd grade math you will see that you wont be able to run 3 auras with only a -5% mana node and have enough mana to cast anything.


Do I really need to say, get more mana reserved nodes and get a higher level reduced mana gem?

I made the guide and put the information there so I don't have to repeat my self all the time.
Look at the screenshots, look at the videos, look at the skill tree, check my gear and gem links, read the sections of the guide that apply to your question and pay attention while you doing all that.


That said, your problem is that you are still level 43, you simply don't have enough skill points to run 3 auras. Its just common sense.
