Custom Avatar Gallery 1 (updated 29th May, 2014)

Background: I grew up in the 80s and a classic 80s comedy was "GhostBusters", which had a cool logo. I would like to combine that GhostBusters logo with POE and the best ghost to "bust" in POE is... Fairgraves.

Brief: the GhostBusters logo that has the ghost replaced by POE's Fairgraves:

In regards to the avatar it isn't quite what I had in mind, but thanks for your first up efforts. It is probably my fault for giving you a rather brief and straight forward "design brief" with not much detail to go on... I guess I was trying to a) keep it simply and b) see what you might come up with.

I'll try to provide a more detailed brief/feedback on the avatar so far:

1) I found the overall quality of this initial version to be quite low, especially when compared to the level of detail given to the other avatars found here: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/52672/page/1 but this could be because you tried to simplify Fairgraves like ghost image in the GhostBusters logo. I would rather see a full detailed version of Fairgraves, as he appears in game, or a realistic version of him... like this screenshot sample here:

2) Could you also remove the word "Fairgraves" from the logo too please. If the image of Fairgraves is realistic enough viewers should be able to tell who it is without a label.. like viewers know the following avatar is an image of the Ranger and Templar: http://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/Kraide

3) I would rather use the "Ship Graveyard" version of Fairgraves rather than the "Docks" version, so that he doesn't have the anchor tied to his back. :)

4) Finally, in regards the red GB circle, perhaps a 3D version rather than the flat red could look better.

This is A LOT closer to what I had in mind and is probably about 85% the way there. That version of Fairgraves is almost exactly what I had in mind and most of the refinement is about positioning Fairgraves within the red circle.

Could we make the following changes when you have the time:

Using this Ghostbusters logo as a point of reference or template (let me know if the URL doesn’t work):



1 – Basically… replace the ghost in the above image with Fairgraves… keeping the following finer details:

a… make the colour, thickness and shading of the red circle the same as the ghostbuster logo.

b… position Fairgraves within the red circle, so that the red “cross bar” comes across his chest/shoulder.

c… keep background outside the red circle black… the red circle is like a “portal” which Fairgraves is trying to come through.


2 – Could you add blue glowing eyes to Fairgraves as he has in this screenshot:
