Game Crash - PC Restart - No BSOD, No Eventlog, No warning.

I've had similar issues mostly in act 3 mostly in the imperial gardens. Normally my computer never BSODs or crashes, although often when I was in the imperial gardens my monitors would simply turn off.

After about the 6th time I fired up my system monitor to see what was going on. Unlike other games, PoE was putting lots of load on my graphics card in that particular area, and it was shutting off at 100c to prevent overheating. It turns out that the nvidia software controlling my card fan wasn't speeding up the fan as it was heating up. The fan speed was set to automatic in the nvidia software. I changed it to manual and set the fan speed to 70%.

I have not had a crash since.

The imperial gardens create BSOD's for me, too. I have to run through the map with quicksilver flasks, grabbing the waypoint as fast as i can, then leave the char. I then re-enter via the waypoint and run to the library... thats my workaround -.-

Didn't know that you could set the fan speed manually in the NVidia panel - i'll try that later.

Thanks for the tip!
Seems my Graphics card doesn't support manual setting of the fan speed.

I discovered that "The Riverways" also creates BSOD's for me. It's not as often as "Imperial Gardens" but still, they appear.

I just run through this two levels as fast as possible without killing an enemy - nasty.
To anyone with the crash + restart issue look at my thread http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/939685

The game was unplayable for me because of constant crashes and that's how I have completely fixed the problem.
