My Take On The Whole Razer Situation.

And again its interesting to see how people know only one position: Their own expectations to GGG and a brainwashed attitude to all kind of marketing ingame.

These footprints don`t hurt you. GGG got not even money for it. In this game you will find a few people who really don´t have the money to buy many Microtransactions. These people could like the footprints and be happy about a chance to get something free. So why can´t you see it as a gift to poor players, instead of blowing yourself up like a balloon?

I am really fed up with this intolerant and egoistic attitude and since yesterday I wear the footprints just to bother these big-mouthed-respectless-egoistic brats.

Btw: the design is pretty good and fits the game.

Do you not see the forest for the trees? Open your eyes... Have you even read anything any of the intelligent people have written? Hell, if you had even an inkling of an idea as to what the real issue is here, you wouldn't have to read their posts to understand this. Read up on product placement. I don't mind a little product placement if it's acknowledged and IF IT DOESN'T DEGRADE THE INTEGRITY OF THE MEDIA IT'S INJECTED INTO. In this case, it DOES degrade the integrity of Wraeclast's environment. Many of us appreciate the detail that has gone into the "dark and gritty" realistic environment of Wraeclast. Footprints of fire and blood are great: footprints plastering company logos on the ground of a fantasy setting is OUT OF PLACE. No, it doesn't "fit the game." This is what some of the intelligent people have mentioned concerning "breaking the immersion." This means the Razer footprints on the ground of Wraeclast negatively impact the surroundings of our fantasy world (and this is what we're here for).
I just want to say: I don't care.

The Razor footprints look derpy as f*ck, but I don't care that they are in the game. If GGG can/did make a bit of money off of the footprints, then hell yeah. That means more/better content for us Exiles (hopefully). At the very least, GGG employees can get a little extra money (likely well deserved for many of them). Good for them! They are just derpy Razor footprints is all.

As a side note, where are my Logitech footprints? I am feeling a little left out.
TY to those who called me out on my BS on these forums. There is no benefit to being so selfish as to fail to acknowledge others' differing beliefs of what "should be" or believe your own opinions so supreme as to be factual and thus dismiss others' opinions as being somehow a lie or delusional.
I wonder if any of the people who complain about the logo not fitting a fantasy setting get upset at other players with names that also don't fit the setting. If so, I might have to start naming my characters after The Simpson's characters.

The realistic environment that GGG has created for Wraeclast is one of their main claims to fame. I don't care about what people choose to name their characters. Hell, my marauder is James_Tiberius_Kirk. It doesn't impact anything GGG has created. GGG even wrote about how Wraeclast is a dark environment and how they "have tried to do that justice." People naming their characters is not part of this. You're comparing apples and oranges.

DOOH!!
Why not have ads as microtransactions so solo players can slay monsters with a Pepsi axe?
That might be kind of cool. I'd pay cash for that.
You know, being part of the great unwashed.

Cheers

Your "intelligent people" have simply no idea about the harsh realities of life. Please consider: Your beloved "fantasy world" exists only because real money from real people was given to the game. And if a simple footprint, that is not aggressive marketing, but just shows a logo you can nearly not exactly identify, then I say it´s allright. If this thing gives PoE an advantage so let it be!

You're obviously not one of the people I'm referring to then are you. The people who feel like their whole experience is ruined because the game isn't realistic anymore.

Then again, anyone who finds a game to be realistic needs to go outside every once in a while and find out what reality actually is.
And this is why people shouldn't have "takes" on stuff, myself included.
"May those who accept their fate be granted happiness.
May those who defy their fate be granted glory."

Here are my 2 cents, even though no one asked for them.

People blew this shit way out of proportion. It's not the best of things but it isn't doomsday either. can't say I'm surprised though, this is the internet after all.
