One-week "Resistance Penalty Testing" Hardcore Ladder Race

If we will be forced to switch equipment while running through instance, I will be really sad. There has to be some other way how to make game more complicated - a way that wouldn't be so annoying.

Seriously..don't make me switch the gear in the middle of battle.

Well that was it for me, died lvl 27 on a cold witch to vaal. Well I actually didn't die to Vaal. I died to a 5 sec frozen screen and a DC witch threw me back to login screen, just to see that my witch was now in default league :( saaaad!

But it was fun, first try ever playing a witch, first try ever playing hc. Without the lag-dc I would have went on much longer I believe.

Hmm strange Hailrake got 1 projectile in Cruel 3 in Merciless.

I am pretty sure that it was 3 in cruel and 5 in merciless.

Did the devs change the projectile numbers?
L46 mara (BM, IR, RT in future) at the end of ruthless and getting ready for Vaal.
* ~60 all res
* Diamond skin
* 2x cold resit node
* 1.7k HP

The resist penalties have definitely made me strategize more about the mobs in each area. I've been keeping rings with resists/HP and swapping them in/out at the start of areas to optimize resists for the mob types.

* I'd say my gear has slightly less +HP than usual but more resits

* Had to sacrifice movement speed on boots as haven't found any yet with good resists and HP

* Vaal in norm/cruel seemed easier than before with the 50/50 fire/phys slam attack, though the construct snipers do hit hard. Not looking forward to the falling rocks in ruth/mercy as they're always trouble.

* As another poster mentioned I seem to be getting less of the common orbs (transmute, augmentation) but more of very rare ones (GCP, exalted)?

Might just be my luck though. Been really starved for augmentation orbs and seem to run out of transmutes often.

Yep... it's annoying.

Give us a way to right-click auto-equip gear-swap like every other modern ARPG.

You're just lucky :)

Apparently you, the other poster and dime have stolen my luck for drop purposes. I've found a grand total of 1 gcp and 1 alchemy and that is it for high currency.

I have noticed I'm getting a lot less lower level currency, but I think that is due to running less IIR/IIQ in general in favor of resists. Drops overall on gear are down as well and I'm doing a whole lot more farming and less progressing so far.

So I just died because of the "flicker strike always hits" bug. My pure evasion ranger had 0 defense against this, and thus I had no chance of kiting a pack of 5 flicker strike mobs in a dungeon.

I'm a little bit mad.
